Haven't had any better. Add a foam rubber strap cushion and you will love them doing floors !
I have had these LAUTUS leather knee pads for several weeks now, I actually thought that I had submitted my review on them but since I hadn't it will now include actual use experience instead of an "out of the box" assessment. And on this product those would be a bit different.I love them for what I am doing. I got these primarily to use in replacing laminate flooring I all of the ground floor level in our house. A project in which I knew that I would be spending a lot of time on my knees. Removing, preparing, installing. More than I wanted to consider since my knee replacement two years ago has healed well but left one knee pretty sensitive.I would not recommend these knee pads for use in any environment which was wet or dirty. These knee pads are made from thick, heavy cowhide leather and have a riveted in pad composed ( I believe) of 1/2 inch thick felted wool. With this construction, getting them wet or very dirty would be a serious misuse of the product and just damage the leather or significantly shorten it's life.Experience: I noted review comments about the strap digging into the leg and being uncomfortable. I added a 4 or 5 inch length of foam rubber pipe insulation to the strap on each. What I had on hand has the adhesive joining strip, which I used, but I also added a loop of duct tape on each end to keep it from tearing out. This has cushioned the strap and I have had zero pinching or discomfort from it. Up and down many many times a day without any issues. Actually the most comfortable experience that I have had with knee pads thus far. This is an easy addition that you can make and I suggest it be tried if you already have a pair of these. The leather facing is slick on a laminate floor, so sliding back and forth as I join and link boards is easy. My wife said she thought I was enjoying it like I was at the ice rink. Not quite, but they slide well without any of the concerns of a hard plastic scraping on the same floor.Comments were made in reviews about the design having just one strap and the sharp angle making it uncomfortable to wear. Everyone will feel differently on this I am sure, however, with the foam on the strap I can and do tighten these up more than I probably would otherwise. The biggest fault I have had with straps, especially the elastic straps is that they bunch up the fabric to where it constantly binds the back of my knee. I have not had that with issue these. Perhaps that is because there is only one strap which pretty much stays in place so it isn't chaffing. I have not experienced any discomfort or difficulty wearing these around standing up, or being up and down with them dozens of times an hour. I figure if they are loose enough to slide down my legs then I should tighten them up a bit more, which works every time. The 1/2 inch felt has compressed a with use. I haven't been able to accurately measure the thickness now but expect it to be between 1/4 and 3/8 inch. It would be nice if there was a softer compliant rubber element together with that, however that is just my replaced knee speaking. The other knee still feels fine. The hard leather outer totally dampens any unevenness that I may encounter, such as kneeling on a screw or something that otherwise would bring tears to my eyes.

Not very comfortable.
This knee pads are very strong, sturdy, durable, and easy to use. However, no matter how I wear them, the stiff leather cuts into my legs.

Good quality, one flaw
First off these knee pads are good quality, they are made well and the inside padding is attached with rivets so it’s nice and tough. It feels good on the floor and eases the pressure put in your knees. The one flaw in my opinion, is the shape of the top of the knee pad. It’s a pretty harshly angled “L” and it feels weird when moving/walking. Now I have only worn them for a few projects which involved baseboards so my movement was minimal and mostly on the ground. I imagine these would work nicely for roofing because you can just slide to the next section of roof. I don’t know if these would be comfortable for a job that involved more walking.Other than that the buckle is sturdy the leather feels sturdy and it’s made very well.

Mixed feelings
These are very well built, but not exactly practical for walking/moving. I found that these slid down my jeans with walking/steps, which wasn't helpful at the jobsite. The padding kept my knees comfortable when these were in the right location on my legs. The single strap is durable, but doesn't secure well enough alone. If there was some sort of elastic backing, rubberized grip, or a couple more straps (or a combination of all of these...) that would greatly help. These are so comfortable, durable, and you can kneel safely on gravel, but not when these are moving around so much. These knee pads are best used for someone who spends more time working from a kneeling stance than walking/moving. If there was an addon to these to make them stay on my knees for walking, I would wear these to every job site and recommend these to everyone.

I needed these!
Very nicely made, they look like they will hold up for a long time. The Inside is very comfortable when using the knee pads. Perfect for all the home improvement projects we have going on.
