Cool idea but poor quality and overpriced
This lighter could have been really cool but its poor quality and its overpriced. This lighter is stamped with "Made in USA" but it's not, its made in China. The fuel cap doesn't sit level when screwed in so it leaks a little fuel. The place where the wick screws in also doesnt sit level so it leaks a little from there too. If you bought oversized rubber seals for the wick and fuel cap screw then it might fix the leak but the caps still wouldnt look level and for a lighter that costs $36 you shouldn't have to do this. If this lighter was $10 then it wouldn't be a bad deal but for $36 it's sadly a rip off.

Fun curiosity
This lighter is super fun to see as it's obviously not common and I love mechanical things like this. It seems well build and solid, like I wouldn't worry about dropping this, maybe on hard cement it would scratch or damage it, but it's pretty solid. However, the only down side is that there is no seal to prevent the fuel from evaporating. So, you'll definitely go through fuel faster with this I think.

Just buy a BIC
Looks very cool and does work. Size is okay. Tank on lighter is so small tends to leak lighter fluid. Fuel tank is super small. Cool party trick just not functional. Flame is nice.

So cool!
I’m obsessed. This is the coolest lighter I own and I’m constantly getting people asking me about it. Super easy to fill up with fluid. Flame is nice and strong, and I would pay far more than this is priced, great value.

DO NOT PURCHASE !!
Wouldn’t recommend it. Lit only 10 times, and won’t light again. It does spark, has fluid, but doesn’t light. A very bad imported piece of junk. Can’t say anything about functionality or ease of use … It doesn’t work, period.

Literally nothing to say other than GET IT. Don’t forget to get lighter fluid for it; you can get the same ones for zippo. 10/10 crowd pleaser, the ultimate conversation starter. Just keep in mind you have to fill it frequently- but trust me it’s so charming you won’t mind it.

The lighter fluid lasts for like 5 cigarettes, for 36$ that’s pathetic.

The o ring on the fuel cap is pretty flimsy, so you have to be very gentle not to screw it in to tight. Other then that I really like this oldschool wick lighter as a collectors piece.

lighter works well. needed to replace o ring at fill port but other then that been a good lighter for the money.

I'm a cigar and tobacco pipe smoker with a bit of a fascination for lighters, so this immediately caught my eye. The product description is a bit of a mess. This lighter is actually a replica of a Albright Plaza automatic lighter (patented filed in 1939). A quick google search will give you a bit of history of the lighter along with some cool advertisements from the 1940's. It seems that there was a feminine version of this lighter decorated to appeal to the ladies of the time, and a simple brass version marketed to WW II servicemen and men in general. Also, the seller describes it as a pipe lighter. I smoke tobacco pipes and I would NOT want to try to light one with this lighter. I'd end up doing some combination of damaging the lighter, my pipe and burning my hand. It would be fine for lighting cigarettes and I've used it to light cigars. At the time of the writing of this review, original antique versions of this lighter are going for over $600 CAD on-line. As a replica, it's pretty cool. The patent number is even stamped on the interior of the lighter. Although I'm not an expert by any means, I've compared the replica to photos of the original and it seems to be a very faithful reproduction overall. Of note, I filled it with lighter fluid two weeks ago and it still lights when I tested it today. So, there doesn't appear to be much loss of lighter fluid due to evaporation. I wish my Zippos lasted this long. The seller has also priced the replica competitively as compared to other on-line sellers of this lighter. Shipping was quite fast through Amazon and this is something you may not receive from other on-line retailers. Four stars only because the product image shows an all brass version of the lighter and I received one with black lacquer coating.
