Long Overdue
I have rated this package 5 star because all the albums included are excellent. However I am disappointed that all the albums were not fully remastered to improve the sound volume. I am happy that 2 of the albums are making their CD debut -"Let's Put It All Together" & "From The Mountain" (which was released in USA as "Heavy"). Fans have been waiting a long time for the CD release of many of the group's albums and perhaps those responsible for releasing this package could seriously consider releasing another 5 album package to include "Once Upon A Juke Box", "You Are Beautiful", "Wonder Woman", "Sun & Soul", "All Time Classics" - 4 of which are not yet on CD.

Thank you, thank you thank you. I have literally been waiting for the (Let's put it all together) album to be released by this group on cd for at least 30 years. I own the original album from 1973 but it was a horrible pressing. So once again thank whom ever muscled Avco Records into licensing this jewel for me......

Beautiful Harmony and great band
I heard "people Make the World Go Around" at the end of a TV show and that reminded me how much I enjoyed their music, I went on utube and found the songs I like the best and then ended up buying the 5 CD set and I have enjoyed them a lot for a great price in my opinion.

Wished I knew more songs, a waste of mines for me
Plays fun, I thought there were better songs, I don't know most of them, and they weren't catchy. Waste of money really.

I liked the total collection of The Stylistics Lps on 5 Cds. It has all their great songs. If you like and remember this group, you'll love this collection of Cds.

great..
The music is, of course, great...however I wish it were remastered much much better. It does not sound better than a good cassette tape.

Oldie but goodie
There nothing to dislike as it brings back music when music was music.

Excellent value. The albums were originally released between 1971 ...
This is a superb collection- 5 albums, 48 tracks from the Stylistics golden period. Excellent value. The albums were originally released between 1971 and 1975 and contains the majority of the groups biggest hits. For some reason the 1973 "Rock'n'Roll Baby" album is omitted. Top notch songwriting, classic Philly soul, sophisticated production and excellent vocals. The final album of the collection sees the group slide from soul into cheesy MOR chicken in a basket supper club pop- a shift in style produced by H&L and Van McCoy. Overall an excellent collection and superb value

Lot`s of good songs and no fillers at all
I have some "Best of" CDs from the Stylistics and I am a fan for many many years. When I first saw the box, I thought ... ok, some hits and a lot of fillers. Don`t need this.So in the end I ordered it and it was a big surprise. Lot`s of good songs and no fillers at all. If you`re a fan of this kind of music, buy it, you won`t regret it.

Great early albums
First 2 albums are worth the money alone as the Thom Bell written/produced albums are in my mind the best of the Stylistics, after that you hit the H & L albums which are a bit too commercial for my taste, but the great Falsetto voice of Russell Thompkins Jnr saves the day.

The Stylistics - 5 CD of pure soul music
For many years, one or more of the LP by the Stylistics have been available on CD, but generally only for import to the UK. Having the first three LP on CD, I've never managed to obtain "Let's put it all together" on CD, nor "From the mountain". These 5 CD show what a superb soul group the Stylistics were when led by Russell Thompkins Jr. The price is incredibly low, and so for just over £2 a CD, 5 of the first 6 releases by the Stylistics are available on CD. I have no idea why the third record, 'Rockin' roll baby' has been omitted, but that particular LP has been available on CD before, so having 'Thank you baby' included (for me) is great news.Every track on each of these 5 CD is brilliant - and well worth buying.
