This fit our Maltese with a little room to spare. I measured his neck at slightly under 10 inches, so it can fit almost the smallest dogs...but probalby not chihuahuas which probably could use it the most.It works most of the time. It only took about 30 minutes to get our dog to stop barking. He sometimes has relapses and it will take about 5 minutes to get him to stop.The way this works is that when the dog barks, the collar lets out a sharp, shrill beep. It gets louder each time the dog barks up to seven beeps and then resets itself. The seventh beep is so loud that the dog usually stops barking before then. The beep can be unpleasant for humans, especially as it gets louder.The collar also vibrates when it beeps. This serves as reminder to the dog not to bark because if it continues to bark it knows louder beeps are coming.Our old shock collar worked great, but it left gouges in the dog's neck, so my wife stopped using it. What is more important to her, my nerves or her dog's neck. I guess you know the answer to that. This works almost as well as the shock collar.

I really like this collar, it has helped me so much. My dog used to bark all the time in the backyard. He'd bark at everything going by or sometimes nothing at all. It would drive me crazy. I could get him to stop and 5 minutes later he would be at it again. I did some research and bought this collar. Thank God it does not hurt him, it works great. I can surely say my dog's bark decreased by 90 percent. I totally recomend this collar.

I am impressed by how easy this collar is to use compared to others I’ve tried. Remove the “bone” plate, open the battery door, install the included battery, close the battery door, put the included pink “bone” plate on (because my dog is a girl), turn on the collar, and put it on her. It works like a charm. It took me more time to type this review than to get the collar working on my dog.

We are pleased with our purchase. The product has worked as advertised.We have three dogs. Romaine ( a schnauzer ), her close companion Phoebe (a cane terrier), and Pocket dog (a chihuahua mix). All three are female. We chose Romaine to be first; she is the easiest to train. She seems to initiate prolong barking sessions. When barking begins, they all become a barking choir. Romaine is not bothered by wearing the collar. It seems her barking is less without changing her disposition, our primary requirement!. We noticed that Phoebe and Pocket Dog seem to bark less.We will be getting another unit for "pocket dog" who has a very good bark..

I purchase this for my Labradoodle pup on June 18,2018, and it worked very well. Relying on the advertised long battery life, I did not purchase reserves. The battery quit on July 19 and unfortunately for us she discovered her voice and began barking at everything. New batteries arrived on July 22, we put her collar back on but the noise and vibration just irritate her into a barking frenzy. I have set the device to maximum and am still hoping for a reset in my pup’s behavior.

Waste of money. It’s cute don’t get me wrong but a complete waste of money the battery it came with didn’t stay in place when I replaced it with a battery from a store it still didn’t stay in place the “vibration” did nothing since the battery area would loose grip and just rattle inside. Didn’t come with directions either, to at least insure I was doing everything correct. Honestly it was a waste of money.

This works well. I bought one for each dog and there's been significant improvement. They don't work perfectly, but are still effective. One was defective and the company, within three weeks, sent a replacement. Decent customer service.
