Feels great smooth reel. Never had a problem with this one. Have caught a few bass and this held up like a champ. Compared to other big brands it's right up there with them. Priced better and very affordable the bearings are smooth and the aluminum body is sturdy and well made quality control is on point

So please take my opinion with a grain of salt. And also why I did 4 stars. I'm not exactly even a semi expert here. Plus I've only loaded that green line onto the reel (I bought it elsewhere) but still this is the first line I've put on a reel since I was a teenager at least. The motion of the spindle and the automatic reset are great. Seems like a great item for the price and I may update once I actually use it to fish. But I was using a cheap shop bought spindle reel and this seems to be much better quality from looking and feeling them. Updated: I've used it to fish behind my house a half dozen times and it's definitely functioned well for the price. So I'll give it 5 stars for best bang for your buck and like me an amateur fisher that doesn't put too much into the hobby. Note: was easy for me to spool thread on without any tool.

So after having this for a few weeks I have to say that its slowly becoming my favorite fishing reel. It is very smooth action. Have had no issues as of yet. The colors are nice as well. For now I am going to say good bang for the buck.

Well I agree with the other positive reviews. This is an unbeatable reel for the price. The quality seems to be outstanding.I mounted it to a Piscifun Serpent 7' ML rod and loaded it with Piscifun Onyx 10LB braid with a Stren 6LB fluoro leader.The first time out I caught a couple of bass and the reel performed great. It also casts very smoothly. The gear ratio is perfect for most anything you would use this set up for.The one con might be the weight and overall size being more than what I would have liked. But I didn't fish long enough for the weight to come into play really.If you are looking for an inexpensive spinning reel, I really don't see how you can go wrong with this Runcl offering. Happy so far.UPDATE: After about a year, still impressed with this reel. It casts very smooth and runs the same. Someone stepped on it and bent the bail badly. At this price point, it should have broke. I thought it would break for sure when I adjusted it back into position. Nope. After several very firm adjustments (again it should have broken, but nope) it casted as good as new. I can’t tell it’s ever been damaged. Thanks Runcl for a very affordable and rugged reel. Still a happy customer!

Oh wow, this is a really good reel. I have no idea what RUNCL is, but by God they make a dang good reel. The reel is very well constructed. The full metal body is awesome.I LOVE the handle. It's not that typical junk handle that most foreign reels have. If you've ever bought a reel off of Wish, then you know what I'm talking about. The handle would have the weird button piece on it as if the handle was supposed to be in two pieces. This actually causes the handle to malfunction and/or break. It has happened to me a few times. Those handles aren't sturdy and are junk. However...this is NOT that! This handle is fantastic!This is how good the reel is. I use it on a 12 foot heavy duty catfishing rod. If you want proof, check out my channel "Catfish Z". You'll see my setups on You-tube. I have the largest reel setup with 60 and 80 pound test on different rods. The reel helps cast my lines so far! This reel easily handles 20+lb catfish. The drag system is also amazing. I can easily loosen and tighten the drag. Who needs a baitcaster when I have RUNCL? Honestly, don't go spending $200+ for the expensive brands. You really don't need a reel like that unless you're fishing for giant sharks.Note to RUNCL seller: I would gladly be a promoter for your reel on my You-tube channel for the right price. It is a quality fishing reel that looks great and works even better. The price was so god I bought four of them and used everyone one of them on older fishing rods. Shipped and received in two days. Would recommend this product and seller.

With this 4000 series reel i have caugth chinnok up to 40 pounds ,it is wonderfull to cast lures ,it is soft, you cast the line effortlessly and the recovery is amazing, i really recommend it and for the price not to mention.

It is a very good reel for the money, smooth, good drag, quite rigid on the rod but it is NOT a metal body reel, so false advertisement.
