Finicky little Ice Maker
My ice maker in my Fridge quit working and the endless trips for ice were getting old. I finally broke down and bought this ice maker and it comes in very handy!! Ice, Ice, Wonderful Ice!! Itโs making ice all the time. You do have to empty the bin, it stops when itโs full, I just store all my ice in the freezer. There are 2 sized of ice pelletโs S & L. The ice maker is super fast. Literally 5 minutes and the 1st drop of cubes is ready, Just keep the water full, and empty the bin and it will make ice constantly. It stops when full, extremely quiet, I put mine in the nook by the fridge on the floor. Fit great, has plenty of space, and doesnโt take up counter space. After some use you will see sediment form in the bottom and it will need to be be cleaned. Do NOT follow the instructions in the book or you will be returning your broken machine. Drain the water. Use a microfiber cloth with a touch of bleach to clean out any sediment or ick & dirt. Clean all the parts you can reach. Donโt spray water inside or fill up an drain. It will stop working. Also, these only work about a year. Iโm on my third. Eventually the components inside just stop cooperating with each other. It will cycle but it will not draw up water to make ice. You will know itโs about to go out when the โfullโ light starts coming on when the machine is empty. Some tricks to keep pit going a little longer are to unplug it for an hour or so, and closer to the very end, you may have to lightly kick it it to get it to realize it is actually empty so it will make ice. Not long after this stage, it will die. It is still very Easy to set up, Easy to Use, and I highly recommend for a 1 year machineโผ๏ธ

Had mine for 3 yrs this month n still going strong!
I've had zero issues with my red Vivo Home ice maker. Purchased in August 2022 and still working like the day I received it so I was surprised by some of the poor reviews. Mines more of a metallic red, so maybe the newer versions are different than mine? Mine is very quiet, only hear it when the ice drops into the bin. I'm only one person so don't use mine every day. More like once a week. I unplug it when not in use. I fill my freezer ice bucket n then unplug it. I remove any excess water. I use a microfiber cloth to dry it out wherever I can reach. Then I leave the door open n let if finish air drying for a few hours before closing the lod again. Knock woos here we are 3 yrs later and still working very well.

Not Quite What I Expected
The good: makes ice quickly, medium noise level. The neutral: ice is small even when large selected. The bad: interior of ice maker is below freezing, so the ice melts and drips back into water storage. Machine runs much more than expected. Also, that means after ice is made, if put into the freezer to store, it becomes a solid block of ice.

Fast ice cubes in an attractive, compact, quiet unit
This is a neat little unit that's quiet, fast, and compact. I'm the only one who uses it, but I'm never without ice now (and I use a lot of it). The reason I'm never without ice is because of the rapid rate at which it produces ice cubes, not because of the amount of finished cubes it stores. The unit fills - and therefore stops making - cubes after it fills with about 75 small-sized cubes, which should be fine for a family of four. The reason I say this is because the advert states some huge amount is produced in 24-hours, but that's only if you continuously empty the bin. If you're planning a huge party in the middle of summer, you'd probably be better off just buying bags of ice. Setup is idiot-proof - plug in, fill with water, and wait about ten minutes before your first cubes start to fall. The unit makes two different sizes of cubes - Small and Large. The small cubes are about the size of my thumb tip and the large cubes are about 50% larger. The cubes are formed by a rod that freezes water around them, so all cubes have a hole in the middle. This can be either good or bad; the hole increases surface area, so the ice melts, and the drink chills, faster. I guess the only complaint I have is that because of its compact size, it's difficult to get the supplied scoop and your hand together into the bin to remove them. I'm thinking of removing the handle from the scoop ... or just using my fingers. Altogether I'm very pleased with this product.

Summer Camp Lifesaver!
My refrigerator has an awful ice maker, so we've been using ice cube trays instead. However, with my kids outside all day at summer camp, they need a lot of ice to fill their water bottles. Originally, I purchased this for use in my travel trailer, but figured I'd try it out at home first. It produces enough ice for my kids each day in about two hours (I let it fill until the "ice full" light comes on). I transfer it to a bucket in the freezer until it's needed. I do have to break the ice apart a bit when it comes out of the freezer, but it's not a big hassle. I can already tell having this for my trailer will be a boon -- anyone who camps knows campground water can be lukewarm. And it beats lugging bag ice in a cooler. I've seen people mention the noise. It's not quiet, but it's no louder than my dishwasher when it runs. I'd also suggest not running it constantly, but only when you intend to use ice; I've not run into problems with mine yet, and think it may be an overuse issue.

Update: Multiple things broken.
Update 12-22 This was made by Intertek. After getting a refund I bought the Igloo which was more expensive. It was nearly identical, made by intertek and turned out to break in the same way within 24 hours. Update 11-14 When I tried to return it I was told I had to leave my phone number and they would call. They have not. replied so I contacted Amazon. They are telling me I must either have it repaired or exchange it for another from the same company. There will be delays. Update 11-13-19 The sensor that tells it that the ice is full has quit so it keeps trying to make Ice unless I shut it off. Groaning noise audible next door. Tried to request return and apparently I have to wait for someone to call me first. Update:10-30-19 It is starting to make a groaning noise when ejecting ice. I think that the motor that moves the mechanical bits is going bad already. Will have to return. Unfortunate. First of all this gets 4 stars just for making ice on my countertop. It is really interesting how it makes the ice. Don't expect the kind of hard frozen ice you get from your freezer. This is more like motel Ice. The first batch comes in about eight minutes and it is small but after that they come every eight minutes and as the machine gets colder they get bigger. You can get bigger ice faster by using refrigerated water to start. It will keep four people in Ice if you drink a lot of whatever and more for occasional use. This is one of the cheaper models. Some of the best may be even better. PROS It makes Ice anywhere you can plug it in. It needs no plumbing. It looks cool! When the ice melts in it it goes back into the water supply to be reused. It makes a variety of interesting noises that you will only hear if it is quiet. Clicks, humms, whirrs, water pumping ice dropping and more. If you have an RV this keeps people from opening the Dometic freezer to get ice so the stuff inside won't thaw . It works great outside CONS: The ice is not terribly cold kind of like cooler ice and some of it will always be half melted. It says 26lbs but you are only getting it 8 bits at a time. You will never get a bag. The ice chunks tend to stack in the side with the full sensor making it read full and shut down early. Won't be a problem if it is being used a lot.
