A Beautiful, High-Quality Comb That Feels Luxurious to Use
The media could not be loaded. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this ox horn hair comb, but I’m truly impressed. Right out of the box, you can tell this is a high-quality, handmade product. The craftsmanship is beautiful—smooth, solid, and polished to perfection. It has a rich, natural texture and subtle variations in color that give it a unique, organic look. No weird smells (like plastic has), plastic free material. The wide-tooth design is perfect for detangling my thick, wavy hair without pulling or breaking strands. It glides through smoothly and doesn’t create any static like plastic combs tend to do. My hair feels noticeably softer and less frizzy after using it regularly.I also love that it’s compact and handle-free—easy to toss into a bag without taking up much space. Despite the size, it feels sturdy and substantial in the hand.If you’re looking to upgrade your hair care routine with a natural, elegant tool, I highly recommend this comb. It’s a small luxury that makes a big difference.

High quality natural wide tooth horn comb
I love the quality of this comb. It combs through the tangles in my thick curly hair easily and it doesn’t put any static electricity in my hair. I also love that this comb is made from natural horn and is very durable and affordable.

Excellent comb
It's a coarse toothed comb, but smooth and very functional--no static and no sharp points. Be wary of dropping it, however--it WILL crack and/or break--it's real horn.

Definitely real horn. Nice!
This comb is so perfectly formed and smooth, that I too wondered if it was actually plastic. So I did the smell test. I touched it with a red hot needle, and indeed the smoke smelled like burnt hair (not melted plastic). Another clue is that the area between each of the teeth looks sawn and unpolished.I can definitely confirm that this comb is real horn.

Broken or warped
Ordered four, two received broken, including a replacement that arrived broken. I was careful not to let them get wet and oiled them to keep them from drying out. All of them are twisted and warped within a few months. One dropped a few inches onto the counter and it broke.

Smooth, strong, feels great in hand and hair
My hair is mostly straight, medium-fine texture, and medium-thick amount, without much damage from sun/treatments but also no detangling or silicone conditioning products. I usually keep it somewhere between waist-length and hip-length. I've been using horn combs for a long time now because they don't build up static. This and the smaller sheep-horn comb I bought from this seller are more expensive than the ones I have bought over the years, but the quality so far seems _so_ much better. The others have had a tendency towards splitting that is often apparent almost immediately, and these seem much tighter-grained. The finish is wonderfully glossy smooth, without the roughness at the tips that another reviewer mentioned. They have a pleasing shape and weight--note that they'll be a lot heavier than a similarly-sized plastic comb. For those who look at the gloss and think these are plastic, I did notice that the the sides of the teeth, in the slots, have little ridges from the machining. I don't think they affect the function, for better or worse, but I'm pretty sure a plastic comb wouldn't have them. When wet they have a little bit of a smell, but since I dry-comb my hair that's not a big deal for me. I wouldn't be surprised if these are brittle, so I hope to not drop them on a hard floor. Here's hoping they'll last as long as I think they will!

Seems to by an acrylic plastic
I like the size and shape of this comb. But I highly doubt it is natural horn. It looks and feels like some acrylic plastic material.

Quality hair combing with Class!
First, this is a quality comb. It is not a cheap version that you purchase in the sundry section of the grocery store or at a major pharmacy's hair-care aisle. Second, the wonderful part of this comb is that it is easy to hold onto while using, it doesn't create "static", and it appears to have the potential to last a long time. It's not a pocket comb, doesn't bend so a back pocket and/or sitting with it in pants/slacks is not comfortable. However, it can be carried in a jacket or slipped into a folio phone case. If you want quality and great combed hair ... it gives your strands the separation along with a classy look when used. If you take care of it, it will definitely take care of your hair.(If you want cheap, you know where to find it.)
