You can make this work!!
I read the reviews and still opted to purchase despite everyone saying it didn't come with the proper pieces to install due to the look and price. Here is what you need to do the purchase of some screws is required.1. Purchase QTY 2 #8-32 x 1 inch machine screws2. Feed these screws threw the hold on the mounting bracket (1 on each end - make sure spacing aligns with fixture). Add nut to hold screws in place (the nuts they provided will work).3. Take the mounting bracket and adhere it to the wall with screws (if you have a stud use it or use drywall anchors if you do not). You will need to purchase your own screws for this step.4. Wire fixture - Black - Black & White-White & Ground Wire5. Attach fixture to the machine screws and cap with black nuts that came with the fixtureIn the end, the fixture turned out great and it was cheap! Just think through it as you are installing and make sure you purchase the necessary additional screws!

Nice looking fixture, but corroded almost immediately!
You get what you pay for. We have had this fixture for just over a year and it is badly corroded in areas. The fixture this replaced had been in use since 1986 and still looked new (same brushed nickel finish, but a very different style). We are really sad about it because this fixture compliments all the accessories in our bathroom.Progressive Lighting was unhelpful. I was told the unit had a one year warranty. However, the customer service rep. said they would transfer me to the warranty department to see if there was some fix I could try. But, I was disconnected.

Great Value, Modern & Bright
Installation was a breeze, but I was doing a simple fixture swap and was able to re-use the old mounting plate screws (this fixture does not come with its own). My old lights were crappy, ugly builder-grade things, and these feel much better quality than those.Replaced one outdated 3-light fixtures with this 2-light fixture, and it fits the size of my bathroom so much better. The shades on this fixture let through more light than my old one, so I hardly miss the one extra bulb. Plus the streamlined black design matches with my other bathroom fixtures perfectly. Couldn't be happier with them, though the price fluctuates very frequently, and I wish I'd watched it a little longer before purchasing.Overall, super pleased with this purchase.

Easy to install
After reading the bad reviews about hardware not meeting the standard electrical boxes, I took a chance and ordered the unit and planned ahead to have extra steel straps ready for the issue others have spoken of. However, I had no issue installing this unit at all. Either the negative reviews come from non-handy installers (I mean no disrespect as I commend the effort!) or the unit has since been corrected with the proper installation hardware. The crossbar brace used for 4" octagon boxes and standard single gang junction boxes fits perfectly. It's got the standard slotted groove for the screws to line up. The crossbar is also mated with a rotational mounting bar that can be rotated in case you're dealing with a single gang junction box in a vertical orientation. The only thing I did have to do was trim down the two threaded bolts about 3/8" shorter as the junction box in my house was placed at the surface of the sheetrock and caused the screws to protrude too far through the cover plate. That's not good since the nuts are decorative endcaps with only 1/4" of tightening depth. It was easy to adapt as I just hacksawed the screws shorter and it's good to go. That's not the fault of the unit. It's the fault of the previous genius who didn't install the junction box recessed properly. All in all, the installation was a breeze. The lighting is perfect! Cheap, bright, and classy. What else can I say? If you're not handy, don't attempt to install this, or any light for that matter. If you are handy, this thing is a breeze to install. A good value.

You might need to replace your electric box for this
I will start with what's bad and try to end it on a good note. This was a pain to install, the installation bracket forces you to install it vertically to get the correct alignment (lights facing upwards or downwards). Traditional US round electric boxes have two mounting holes and are usually set horizontally. Most light fixtures can be installed right away with that setup in mind. However, in this case I had to replace my electrical box to get the mounting holes vertically or slightly slanted. This required additional trip to home depot after frustrations with the installation bracket. Finally installed, I attach the light shades and notice scratches at the bottom. At this point I just finished the installation and put in new light bulbs and didn't want to deal with it anymore. On a more positive note, the lights are bright. Thanks to led bulbs not this fixture though.

You'll have to trim the bolts
When you purchase a light fixture at this price point you usually get what you pay for. The construction is a bit chintzy, one bulb fixture is not perfectly square (not bad enough to return or for my wife to notice), the metal is thin, but this is all expected. The mounting bracket is decent. It does swivel so you can later level the sconce perfectly, but the bolts to affix the sconce to the mounting bracket are too long. It's possible they used bolts that are too long for people who may have recessed boxes (I have never seen this), but most boxes are flush with the drywall. You will have to cut the bolts.Installation:Screw the bolts into the bracket per the instructions and slap the locking nut on the other side and give it a good quarter turn twist. Don't wire it up yet! Slide the sconce onto the bracket as you would when mounting it. Ensure it's flush and all the wires are tucked back. Mark the bolt about 1/16" off the sconce. Cut the high side (leave the line, you can always trim again). I used a cutting wheel, but this part is up for you to figure out.Otherwise the fixtures look great. If you're not handy I wouldn't suggest this one.

Defective
Light is nice but the bracket that was provided does not fit making it useless and impossible to install. The holes on the bracket don’t line up with the fixture. The instructions even show a different image. Tried contacting the seller to send a new bracket and they were not helpful. Will be forced to return this item

Back in Black
It’s a nice Matte Black that compliments the rest of the fixtures in the bathroom.

This light is the spawn of satan to install
I have never installed a worse light.I bought 2 of these at the same time (unfortunately for me) and the screws that came in both were way to long... I had to chop the screws which was an absolute pain in the butt. The lights look great but whoever makes these did a horrendous job.

Unable to Install due to incorrect bracket
Went to install it, ordered it in advance for a Reno and the bracket that came with it doesn’t line up. Now I can’t return it and am stuck with it. Otherwise looks great and was just what we wanted. Too bad it can’t be installed with the hardware it came with.

Great product
Look good and easy to install. Maybe they fixed the bracket because I didn't have any issues with the install hardware.
