Works great, awfully runny but works

As someone who has made many different salves and used comfrey salve before, I must say I was surprised by the intense green color and the consistency of this salve. Granted, it has been really hot and this product took the long way to get here so it has been exposed to extreme heat. The more beeswax in a salve the thicker it will be, perhaps it could use a bit more. I will keep it in the refrigerator for now.The odor is like camphor but I assume the smell comes from the eucalyptus. However, the odor does not linger when the product is applied. It does go on smoothly and is readily absorbed.While the product is listed as organic on this page, it is not. It does not say organic on the jar nor are any of the ingredients listed as organic. I really dislike misleading information by the seller.The product contains lanolin so if you have a reaction to wool, this product isn't for you. It seems to be a skin treatment that contains a lot of different elements and comfrey is listed as the first ingredient. Perhaps that's why it's so green. Comfrey has many traditional uses and I will use this to see if it helps with bruises, sprains, pulled muscles and ligaments and skin conditions.

It has all sorts of herbs in it and has a slightly medicinal scent that I can't quite describe. But it reminds me of some balms that my grandmother (who was born in the late 1800's) always had. I don't know what was in hers, but she'd have a balm for everything that ailed me as a child.This, too, is loaded with good stuff, and I would use it in the same way. I give a lot of credence to those old-time remedies, and would hope that this would help. In the meantime, it does make my skin soft!

This green salve has an unexpected creaminess. I thought I’d receive a more ointment-like product. The creamy/lotion-like consistency has its benefits in that it can be applied without leaving a greasy finish to soak into the fabric of your clothes. I think it smells nice with a pleasant earthy, herbal aroma and a hint of a medicinal quality. At least it doesn’t have that strong mentholated scent that comes with some of the more powerful pain-relieving creams.There's no warming sensation but I like the way my joints feel after massaging it onto my skin. Whether that’s from the massage or components of the salve, I can’t say. But it’s loaded with plenty of herbal goodness that might be just what I need.

This product is green in color. If the air temperature is warm, as on a warm summer night, the consistency becomes liquid. If the air temperature is cooler, such as in the early morning, the consistency becomes more like a very thin cream. I didn't detect scents of lavender, lemon or frankincense. To me it smells like a vapor rub. That is not the soft, relaxing fragrance I was expecting from this product's listed mix of familiar fragrant herbal ingredients. The consistency also was not what I'd expected from a salve, nor does it seem stable. From what I've researched, salves normally have a firmer consistency than creams.

I've used this several times and really like it. It has a light pleasing fragrance, spreads easily and absorbs quickly into the skin. Does a wonderful job relieving dry skin and minor aches.

The consistency of this salve is light and watery. It's green colored and rubs in and absorbs quickly. The scent is not good, but not herbal either. I thought it would have some hints of the essential oils stated on the bottle, which is lavender, eucalyptus, tea tree, lemon, sandalwood, frankincense, and thyme. But I don't think I can smell any of them at obvious level, top, middle, or end note. I tested this on the back of my hands to see if it would cause irritation, and it did not. The tested area did not have the smell linger too long on my skin, it was very light. I don't know what benefit this herbal salve can bring, because right now there isn't any obvious effects. It arrived tight sealed in side the jar and outside with expiration date of 5/31/2027.

Love that this is a natural herbal salve, has an extremely light fragrance. It is green but when it soaks into skin you want see any green on skins. Very hydrating and not greasy at all.
