If your phone is not mhl compatible it WILL NOT WORK. thats not the adaptors fault.. simply the fact that non mhl phones will not work with hdmi no matter what you try to do! On a Samsung S2 Tablet and on my samsung s5 this works perfectly.

This MHL to HDMI unit works and is better than the one I bought for my wife. Mine is micro usb 11pin and support MHL function. At last, I set my television to HDMI mode and set its resolution. It goes into my Android Phone and comes out HDMI to the television.

Replaced my old one which contacts failed on charger port. Works just fine to Sony 4k tv. NB check your phone// micro usb is designed to use mhl links. Recent phones dont support mhl maybe. (Always thought wired streaming better than mirroring for sound// video sync and quality) And you guys can search model in product description.
