Best wood filler I've used
My favorite wood filler. This product is easy to work with, dries fast and hard and is easy to clean up. It's recommended by many woodworkers and for good reason. I've tried many products and this one is the best so far. You can get great results with or without having to sand. The container makes it easy to apply and seals well to store. It does dry fast so wetting it can increase workability. Highly recommended.

Does what it’s supposed to
It works. Easy to apply. Small container so you can’t do a whole lot of filling with just one tube.

Works for small holes
This stuff worked really well in small areas. I repaired my door with a two-part epoxy type of wood from another company but by the time I was finished and had run out they were a couple small spots I wanted to still fill and I didn't want to have to buy two big tubs of the two-part product so I purchased some of this to fill in little holes. It seemed to have worked really well, it goes on pretty easy but it does dry very quickly. At first I was a little concerned because when it started to dry it seemed very chalky and I was afraid it wouldn't dry hard but in the end after 24 hours I came back and it was just as hard as the two part epoxy product and I was able to sand it down with the rest of the door. I found that because it dries so quickly it was hard to flatten it out so I ended up molding it with my fingers once it had dried a little bit and that made it so much easier to work with. I applied it everywhere I needed it and then let it sit for a couple minutes and went back in to flatten it out, move it around and even shape it with my fingers.

Pleasantly surprised!
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. I had been using the plastic wood filler (the pink stuff that turns light beige) and the texture was driving me nuts, so I bought this. Talk about night and day difference! This was so easy to apply, it wasn’t grainy or gritty, and didn’t ball up when I was smoothing it out. It filled the cracks so well and the application was very even, so even that I don’t think that I’ll have to sand my project before painting it.The color is a pure white and matched my Kilz primer perfectly. Will definitely purchase again.

Best wood filler I've ever used.
One of the best white wood fillers I've ever used. It applies white and dries white. Easy to sand as well. Fill holes in wood, dents in wood and other imperfections. After sanding it's smooth. After painting over you won't be able to see thearea where the filler was used.

ah, found it!
This must be the stuff I picked up a few good years back.I had picked up an Elmers white filler that worked GREAT with PVC molding, purchased both from HD.Easy to apply into the nail holes, easy to skim off and color / sheen perfect match, no painting of the white PVC molding.Just recently, ripped out some beat up old cheap wood molding, and replaced with the nice PVC molding. Before filling the nail holes, I was testing different solutions, cause I couldn't exactly remember what I used the last time.I picked up a "white" elmers that HD had, the stuff was more greyish when dry and was very "fibery" . terrible. After not being all that happy with solutions I picked up locally, I search Amazon. urrrrreeekkaa I thought when I found this. Purchased a tube and tested it.The E855 is what I must of gotten originally from HD, ordering more of this E855 from Amazon to finish off the molding.Your hard pressed to find the nail holes, and that is without painting.. I just filled in the nail holes with the original white Elmers filler.A few years later, still looks as clean and perfect matching as the day I did it. If you look hard with a flash light you'll find the nail holes I filled 5-6 years ago,.. but your hard pressed with our without a flash light.. you really have to look.Compared to using Latex caulking I ( I'm told silicon RTV wont stick to the PVC molding) ...... all I tested actually flow better than the Elmers 855, but all cause a the need to wipe around the nail hole to get ride of the residue that shows in the glare of lighting after skimming the fill with a putty knife. And depending on the caulking, the caulking in the nail hole can attract dust and dirt changing the color if not painted over. You can tell, after letting a test fill dry for a few days, rub a dirty finger over it, and see what sticks... only one caulking/adhesive and the Elmers wont keep the dirt from your finger. This Elmers 855 is PERFECT for the white PVC molding (indoor / dry location only. I'll assume if wet location, better use something else or paint over it). So I'm ordering a few more tubes so I can fill all my nail holes and slightly open seams.
