After just opening this book, and going to flick thru, i cannot put it down. Read it cover to cover. Unputdownable. Talk about being written raw, true, with a biting humour and languid yearning for life as it was. Superb. Words do have power.

This book was just incredible! I couldn't put it down and found myself re-reading the poems over and over again. There's so much to love and appreciate in these pages, and it helped me understand what someone’s experiences through recovery and living with a chronic health condition feel like while making me feel a great sense of connection. Sometimes funny, sometimes very poignant, other times informative and piquing my curiosity, but more than anything, enjoying every word. Just beautiful.

I discovered A.K Davidson first through their social media and tempted me into the world of poetry. I was excited to hear their poems were coming to print and this beautiful book doesn't disappoint. There are so many lovely words in here it's difficult to pick a favourite.

From the outset I was grabbed by both the title and cover. A. K. Davidson's very personal book speak with wit, intelligence and confidence on her theme of 'Short Poems from Long Covid'. I particularly liked 'Invitation' and 'Grief' which spoke to me given my own experiences of serious illness. The Bibliography and Resources look extremely helpful for fellow sufferers and echoes the thoughtfulness with which she's approached this work.

Long Covid, long illness can be hard to explain and almost impossible for others to understand... before reading this.These poems capture the bizarre, slow-motion impact of long illness. A must-read for those who have suffered from this illness and those who love them.

Bought the kindle version of this book, the words ring very true for anyone who is stuck in a health crisis be it physical or mental. As a Long Covid patient who is dealing with an autoimmune condition as well it’s a comfort to read your feelings being articulated by someone who understands.

A bittersweet and moving collection of poetry written by someone whose life was turned upside down by Long Covid.

This book 'gets me' - not as a fellow long-Covid sufferer, but as someone who, through becoming a 24/7 carer for a loved one has also suddenly found their world fall apart and what they'd previously taken for granted gone. I've found this little book, with its bite-sized wisdom and comfort offers me solace and understanding amid my hectic but repetitive, isolated and housebound day, and no doubt in healthier form than some other things I might otherwise be tempted to turn to! It makes me smile and feel less alone. Thank you A.K.Davidson!
