It didn't work, I tried it over screws in the carpet but under the two settings it had (all and disc) it couldn't pick it up. I tried it over car keys and it didn't detect anything. When I tried it outside it randomly beeped as I was moving it and there wasn't anything there. I had to return it.

This OMMO Metal Detector comes in a box which includes 2x 9v batteries, headphones, a carrying bag, foldable trowel & dust cover. It also includes handy instructions with pictures, which helps to get you up and running quickly without needing to look online.The metal detector features a large backlit LCD display which shows volume, brightness, battery level, motion detection sensitivity and PP mode which allows you to pinpoint your targets by delivering a tone which changes in pitch based on the closeness to your target location.It is a fun device for beginners and my nephew has had some success locating some old coins and screws in the garden so far. We will be taking this to the beach as soon as the opportunity arrives as it is all packaged very well for travelling.

I've always been fascinated by metal detectors and the idea of uncovering hidden treasures, like finding gold. When this new metal detector kit arrived, it truly made my day. I was particularly excited because I already own the older version, which my granddaughter and I used during our beach outings last year. Sharing it with her was a challenge, but we had fun discovering various items together.This new model boasts significant upgrades over the older one, featuring an advanced chip and fully digital controls, replacing the analogue dials of the previous version. The kit includes everything needed: the metal detector itself, a convenient carrying case, headphones, a shovel, a pouch for storing discovered items, and batteries.With prior experience, setting up and using the new detector was straightforward. The quality is excellent, with adjustable height making it versatile, although I’m not planning on sharing this one since my granddaughter now has her own. The backlit display is especially useful in low-light situations.For an initial test, I buried some metal items in the garden, and the detector performed impressively. It's highly accurate and can precisely pinpoint targets using the PP mode. The metal detector offers two modes: an all-metal mode and a disc mode that filters out unwanted metals, both of which work reasonably well.I haven't taken it to the beach yet, but we're planning a day trip soon and will bring both models. The included shovel was handy for the digging process. Overall, this is a fun and well-built kit. It operates well, comes with a convenient storage bag, and is easy to store and carry around, making it a great addition to our outings. While it’s not professional grade, it's a good choice for anyone wanting to start and out interested in getting into metal detecting.

This comes in a small box with a few different parts, so you are required to do some assembly to start.Everything goes together to give a nice fit with some parts people slightly adjustable to fit your size better.It comes with some headphones, which are very cheap but do the job since you're just listening to tones, a small bag that has a digging tool; this tool is a small shoving tool to help you unearth your findings.Theres some control with modes on this using the electronic display: you can choose between all/disc modes which allow metals to be detected or a select few, which i suppose is good for trying to work out if the metal you found is worth retrieving. You can change the brightness/volume and detection sensitivity and finally the PP mode which pinpoints targets. PP mode works by giving you a constant tone and it changes pitch based on the distance from your target allowing you to hone in on its position.Im not sure what its max depth is but it definitely detects the lines under my floors/garden.Id say that its worth a buy if you dont want to get something too expensive or just getting into this hobby.

The media could not be loaded. This metal detector set was better than I was thinking it was going be and has everything needed to get started.It does require some assembly when you first get it but it’s all fairly easy and doesn't take long, I would recommend assembling the arm support first so you know which way round to put it in the detector end and I am a little concerned about the metal pole only having a plastic nut and bolt to attach that bit but it does feel secure, just hope it doesn't get knocked too much.I like how the pole is extendable up to a total length of 130cm so its suitable for tall and short people and you can move the handle position up and down to get it in the right place for good support from the forearm part.The screen is nice and clear, plus you can change modes with the waterproof buttons nice and easy while the beeps are loud from the device and a good volume through the included headphones that plug in the side. Shame it’s not Bluetooth ones but at this price I can understand why.Finally, I love the carry bag you have for it, and you can leave most bits assembled and fit in the bag plus the little digging towel is awesome and very handy by being super small and portable but strong when you pull it out and assemble it.Overall, this really impressed me, for £99.99 I know it’s on the cheaper end of the market, but it’s a great starter set, comfortable to use and did a good job detecting the springs in my sofa through the cushion for the test.
