Good book, but kind of plain patterns
I love the fact that the book encourages you to take your knitting projects with you, yes, I am the person who at just about all times has my needles and a ball of yarn on me. I was a bit disappointed with the book just because of the fact that I was hoping for patterns that were alcohol related. There are a few bottle/can coozies and a 6 pack holder, but I guess I was expecting something more like mittens with beer mugs on them patterns that are beer related, not just kind of plain hats, sweaters, bags, scarves etc. I'm not mad about my purchase, I can use these patterns as a guideline for my projects like i usually do. I also think its so so cute that the difficulty levels are drawn out by pretty much how drunk you can be and still accomplish your project- to cute!!

Portable projects, but pretty basic
While it's a pretty good selection of take-along patterns- meaning not hugely complex and easy to work on while in company- the patterns themselves are not all that exciting. Many are very useful! but they do not look to me like being fun to kit; they are more intended for ease of knitting.I do like a couple of the bags- knitted then felted- and some leg warmers.

The book was in good, almost brand-new condition
The book was in good, almost brand-new condition. There is a filmy, sticky cover that came on it; not sure if it was put on by the previous owner or the seller. I don't mind it since it's just a paperback, and it'll make the cover more durable, but it may annoy someone else who just wants a clean copy. I got it for cheap at any rate, so it was a great deal.

Refreshing!
This is the 1st knitting book that I've actually bothered to READ! Usually, I buy a book for the patterns & could care less about reading anything else in it. I started looking through the patterns, caught a paragraph here & there, & decided to start reading this one! I found it very entertaining & refreshing! It has some very nice patterns that are easy to pick up & take with you, & this was what I was looking for, since I love to knit, but don't get a lot of time to devote to involved or long-term projects. There's a little bit of something for everybody in this book, & some great get-together ideas for friends, as well!

good gift for moderately experienced knitter
I got this as a Christmas present for a knitting friend. I was surprised at how many sweater patterns were in the book! There were a handful of scarf and hat patterns too. Some drink cozies and a bag made for nice variety. I agree with another reviewer that this is good for an early 20's knitter. I was surprised there was no projects for babies or kids but, I was impressed with the sheer quantity of patterns in the book.

Hooray!!!!
I love this book! I love to knit on the plane (save your self the trouble and bring wooden or plastic needles) the projects are easy to travel with and the end product is useful. Love the beer cozy! I knit it on the flight, useing a beer can tab as a marker, then felt it in my hotel sink. Hahah, ya am kind of a MacGyver when it come to knitting. Add this book to your shelf! Happy knitting!

Hilarious!
This book is so funny! I love the philosophy that knitting is for ALL AGES! The patterns in this book are of good variety - there is something in here for everyboy! From whimsical hats to sturdy bags to gorgeous sweaters, there's a little bit of everything to cover all skill levels (not to mention levels of enebriation!).I highly recommend it to all hip knitters, regardless of your age!

Good
Its a good book not only for the interesting patterns (although none of them are that complicated) but also for the 'articles' about social knitting in the book that expalin why it has become so popular. This will definitely make an appearance in my dissertation.

Amusing and some good ideas
I liked the premise of this book, being the kind of girl who has been known to mess up my knitting after a few glasses of wine! I particularly like the felted bag with pockets. Will have a go at some of the patterns and let you know how I get on.

It's alright. A little Gimmicky, but at least it's well written and entertaining.
It's a small book, with some interesting patterns and anecdotes. I feel maybe it could have benefited from more recipes and stuff along those lines, but for what is is, it's ok. The projects aren't revolutionary by any means, but they're well written.
