Ares AZS1350 Taylorcraft Ready To Fly RC Airplane

Awesome Plane.Being My first RC airplane I wanted something similar to the Champ, but seeing how this is slightly larger and has more power with the option for a 4 channel transmitter and clipped wing conversion and all of the other upgrades from Ares, the plane could improve as my skills do.When I purchased the plane I contemplated buying the brushless set up, I'm glad I didn't. This plane is plenty fast enough stock, and I find with a tail wind this plane is too fast. I took the plane out last night at the local High school over the soccer field. There was a slight wind, probably 1-2 mph gusting to 5 mph. The plane performed flawlessly. After I got a few adjustments in the plane was extremely stable and really fun to fly. Run times are right about 10-15 minutes depending on how you fly it. motor has more than enough power for me at the moment and will almost hang off the prop if your attitude gets to high. I gave it 4.5 stars due to the fact that the landing gear is pretty weak and just about useless, unless your landing on NEW asphalt. I tried taxiing on some old asphalt and it wanted to nose over. I am going to look into retrofitting some bush wheels to this thing and trying to make it able to land on short grass. Overall, I think its a much better deal than the Hobbyzone Champ.

Very disappointed with item... Took it out of box to fly and was checking the servos to see if they would work. As I was checking the servos the plane started to smoke real bad. I disconnected the battery and took the top wing off to look inside to find the servos and the reciever completely melted. I don't know what happened but I emailed the company and still haven't gottten an answer back to see if they can fix this. Very very very disappointed with product and the seller.

Really like the idea of the magnetized wing strut and battey. Makes it really ex to make changes an repairs. And the abilities to convert this to a 4 channel by just buying the clipped wing an plugging it in is great. As it comes it is a great flier. Nice slow flier but with the power to get itself out of trouble.

I just want to say, unless you fly in a gym, outdoors this thing will get tossed around at 2 mph. wind. It is soooooo light and I was flying off of instinct just to keep it in the air. Otherwise the idea of magnets on everything is good. The servo gears gave me fits,too.
