These devices are loud and they work. I have had two alarms and both were small, but legitimate leaks under the sink.

The alarms are exactly as described and the alert is quite loud. The included batteries install easily and the test button works well. The units are small and easily fit undercuts or by air conditioned units or water heaters. Highly recommended.

Used gateway detectors even though I couldn’t connect to gateway

These little things saved us lots of money. I got them to put under an aging water heater. Wanted to know if any leaks started. It's hard to get to our water heater, it is behind a wall and to access it i have to unscrew trim and remove a panel. After a month one of the alarms started to sound. It is way louder than the test button sound. It was screaming through the wall. I was expecting to see a drip from the bottom of the water heater but there wasn't one. I looked up and the drip was from the exit pipe venting through the roof. I never would have even known about it and lots of damage would have occurred without these little life savers!

Sensors are very sensitive to water, very loud. What I like the most is that they are small and easy to replace batteries, no screwdrivers! Just pop the two sides open, replace batteries and done. I wish I had them before flood! They would save me a lot work and money on damaged electronics, walls, furniture, water charges, etc. I placed them everywhere there is a possible leaking water source, under sinks, toilets, washers. I can sleep soundly now, until of course one of them wakes me up.

Great small alarm... very load.. we placed them around our AC units which are in our attic... here in Florida the attic will get to 160 degrees in the summer. these have been great... detected an overflow from the drain pan, safe us from major water damage.
