This is fabulous
If you like trains, this is for you. I bought 2 of these. One for myself and one for my grandfather. The big boy has been my favorite train. I was a little disappointed that it isn't the 4014 (the only big boy still running today) instead of it being the 4023 but that is from a train nerd.Beware this thing is HUGE. I was so shocked at how big it is!!! It is gorgeous and for an off brand Lego set, it is a good price. It is a little difficult with the instructions but, you end up using all the parts they give you. The model ends up being 2 ft 5 inches when you finish it so find a good place to store it!! I had a lot of fun with this and will buy others!

Size
Much to my excitement I was not expecting it to be as large as it was quite enjoyed assembling this train I like the ones challenging and a little time consuming I spent about 7 hours total on this I will be adding lights to it in the near future

I bought this for my husband who is a train nut 😊ing.
He loved it and couldn't wait to put itIntogether. Unfortunately there were a few pieces missing. He managed to get the train together without them.

Incorrect measurements and missing pieces.
I had to supplement with actualLegos, measurements are not accurate. Missing pieces. One it was finally done i had to pull pieces out to make the actual bottom on the train fit the top. Just terrible.

Great model of one of the great steam locomotives
My fellow ferroequinologists will enjoy putting this model together. The Lego-like assembly is unique and works very well. I found the detail of the finished model to be pretty exact compared to the real thing (#4004) on display in Cheyenne WY. I do find it interesting that the recommended ages on the box for this model are 6+ and 15+ (odd combo), but I'm hear to say that it is easy to mistake the correct color, size, and orientation of many of the 1600+ pieces. Good thing it doesn't require glue...word of caution - pay close attention to the picture (no written) instructions. All in all - it's worth the money.

1608 Standard "Lego" size pieces. 31" combined length of locomotive and tender sits on 31" of track
This review is for GODIYTOPPY BIGBOY Steam Train Building Kit, $70 on amazon.Disclaimer. I have not yet built this kit so my observations are pre-assembly. I cannot speak to how hard/easy the build is or whether you might have problems during the build, e.g. missing pieces or how tightly the pieces fit together.I’m a guy and I love steam locomotives (and what guy doesn’t?). This Bigboy building kit meets both of my criterions for fun . . . . it’s a building kit and it’s a locomotive. Enough said. This locomotive and tender combined are 31 inches (78 cm) long. It comes with 31 inches of track so the locomotive can be displayed in a realistic setting. These are standard ‘Lego’ size pieces. There are three large sealed bags marked “1/2”, “3/4” and “5/6”.Bag “1/2” contains:Three loose 4X12 plates and six loose 1X14 Technic BricksFive smaller sealed bags #1 used for assembly steps #1 through #31, pages #1 through #11Five smaller sealed bags #2 used for assembly steps #32 through #45, pages #12 through #17Bag “3/4” contains:Three loose 4X10 plates, two loose 4X12 plates, and two loose 1X16 Technic BricksSeven smaller sealed bags #3 used for assembly steps #46 through #81, pages #18 through #30 Four smaller sealed bags #4 used for assembly steps #82 through #111, pages #31 through #42.Bag “5/6” contains:One loose 4X12 plate, two loose 2X16 plates, and two loose 1X14 Technic BricksFive smaller sealed bags #5 used for assembly steps #112 through #166, pages #43 through #56Five smaller sealed bags #6 used for assembly steps #167 through #193, pages #57 through #69.The instruction manual for this Bigboy is large at 8” X 11”, 74 pages long with 193 assembly steps.Manual pages #71 through #74 show all of the individual pieces, their color, and the quantity of each provided. There is a loose sheet 5-1/2” X 8”, which shows images of various length Bricks, Beams and Technic Bricks. Each has a stud/hole count that can be referenced when the manual denotes a part’s length by stud/hole count, e.g. Brick 1X8There is a small sheet of stickers for “Union Pacific”.I’m very much looking forward to assembling this kit.

Impressive set and fun build!
My son really loves trains and Legos so I thought this would be a fun set for he and I to put together. He's 14 and has mastered the traditional block size sets and has moved on to the micro block sets, which he prefers. I thought this might be a bit too easy for him, but with over 1600 pieces, it might still be a challenge.First off, this bad boy came in a really nice box with a detailed picture on the front of it. Some of these off brand sets do not have pictures on the box so I really appreciate when they do. The blocks were bagged separately like most sets are these days. We always check out the instruction manual right away to see what a challenge that will be. This manual is great! It's a larger size with lots of pages so the manual has larger and more detailed pictures. It was very easy to read through each step. I had never gotten a set from GODIYTOPPY before so did not know how the blocks would be. They were very comparable with Lego and went together nicely. The detail on this, from top to bottom, is impeccable. It did not have a lot of color to it but I think that's what makes it look so large and powerful. The tracks were pre assembled and the train just sits on top of those so it's not easy to move once put together. My son and I worked straight for just over 6 hours, once we got the pieces sorted out, and got this Big Boy put together. I was honestly disappointed that it went together so fast because we had such a fun time building it. We had so much fun, this was a great build!I would 100% recommend this to any building block lover even if you aren't a fan of trains. I thought this might be overwhelming with over 1600 pieces but it was not thanks to an amazing manual. We had the best time building this and I highly recommend this to anyone that loves to build. Giving this one 5 shining stars!!!
