This really makes my nails look nice. Matte finish and very subtle color. Wish it was available in a nude/beige tone, just not a pink girlie. Evens out the imperfections so nails look flawless. Wear by itself or as base for immaculate manicure. I tried another brand to save money. Huge mistake. I will never stray fro Essie again. They know what they are doing.

I have been using Essie smooth e on my nails for quite some time, but now I am unable to find it. I ordered this, hoping it would be a good replacement. I am very disappointed. It is tinted pink, which isn’t awful, but it starts peeling off after two days. Not sure why they got rid of Smooth e, but I wish they would bring it back!

For 15 yrs & 4 months (just to be exact) I have looked for a product that does what this does. Until now I have been unable to find one. This IS PERFECT to use as a hardener for a split nail. I had damaged my thumb nail so badly on a door latch, that it was split right down the middle and had even left a ridge all the way to the cuticle. The nail continued splitting every time I bumped it until I found this product. It is amazing. I will continue using it even though my nail seems to be totally repaired after using essie Nail Care for only 3 months. I love it!!!

Awful. It doesn’t go on smooth, and the matte finish just highlights that. And you can’t paint any other polish or clear coat over it, without it making it look even worse.

My nails actually look decent after a month of wearing. They grew without splitting. I like added a layer before I go swimming. Highly recommend. I can tell you that it does NOT work as a base coat though.

Great polish! I bought this after seeing it recommended online, and I am really happy with it! I did a regular manicure and applied two coats, my nails feel smooth, have a nice matte look, and the ridges are less noticeable. My nails look way better than before!

My nails look smoother after 1 use. I paint my nails with the Essie good as new and the next day my nails look smoother and shiny and had a nice very light pinky colour. I only used it once and noticed my nails are already better. It’s been a couple of weeks now and the original coating is still on and nails still looks good.

Really effective nail protector that looks like a polish.

The instructions on the “Good As New” product say to apply *two* coats but that makes the colour something very close to “Pepto Bismol pink”, which I’m not fond of at all. If the product came in a milky-white colour, I’d buy it again because, though I can’t attest to whether or not it has “improved” my nails at all, I *do* like the semi-matte finish. I’ll keep using it for now, but just one coat at a time.

I am undecided on this nail treatment. I realize it is not a polish, but a treatment designed to strengthen nails. I used it once, it lasted five days before starting to chip off. I swam twice with it on which is better than any drugstore polish I've used (they would all peel off in one piece after a single swim). When I took it off, it seems to have left something behind. I don't think it damaged my nails as they are in better shape than when I first applied it. The residue seems to only be in the areas where my nails were ridged or split. It's a lovely matte shade of pink. It doesn't reflect any light and hides imperfections. The black hole of nail treatments. I hold out hope it will be a useful tool in keeping my nails healthy.

I didn’t have too many expectations, but was happy to try it. My nails have become a whole lot less rough and a much stronger. The colour is strangely pink, but I painted on nail polish over two coats of As Good as New. Happy to continue using it.
