BePuzzled | Owl Original 3D Crystal Puzzle, Ages 12 and Up, Owl, Clear

I am hooked, send help, or more puzzles! What can I say about these except I love them? They are so much fun. The owl was my second 3D puzzle I put together, I got this along with the white wolf and gray wolf (I will do a review on those as well). The owl wasn't easy but what fun is a puzzle that is easy? I have seen reviews on other puzzles complaining about lack of instructions and whatnot but, if you read the actual product title and use your brain, you will remember one simple thing; Its a PUZZLE! What puzzle comes with instruction?! Ok short rant over, I'm done. I think I found the color of the owl to be the hardest part about putting him together, being clear, it wasn't easy to see the pieces very well, so I suggest putting a black mat or paper down and that will make it easier, I used my mouse pad and that worked well. A helpful tip when putting this one together, use the locking mechanism and build him on it because the pieces don't stay together without it, unless you have someone hold it as you put it together. If I remember right you will need to take the lock out before completing, be very careful! I screwed it up and half the bird fell over cause I forgot how unstable it is without it and I had to build it again! LOL. He is sitting on a shelf now next to my rose vase and I just love it. I want more of these ASAP. Keep up the good work BePuzzled! Lets see some more of these beauties come out soon eh?!

I have been on a 3D puzzle (Bepuzzled Crystal Puzzles) kick and maybe I've done so many by now that they seem easier? But the Owl one didn't seem that hard to me. Yes, you have to make sure you start at the base and work your way up, or you will have to hold the pieces in your hand the whole time and it's very easy to drop it, so have to start from the bottom going up. And then make sure to figure out which way the dowel rod goes in (from the bottom or the top) to make sure you don't put the end cap piece on before the dowel goes in correctly. Anyway, it was a little wobbly at first to put the feet / base on the "wood" piece, but I just finished the rest going up and added it to the feet at the end so it wouldn't all come tumbling down. I chose to make the owl look exactly like what shows on the box, so I chose the eye stickers with the yellow and black (they gave you the option of also choosing solid black). I think this one is absolutely adorable. Yes, because I think it's supposed to be a Snow Owl or a "White Owl" the pieces are clear. That might be harder for some other people to put the pieces together, but it's really no different than the other ones that have just a slight tint of color. I found it pretty easy to put together, maybe in under an hour? But like I said, I've done quite a few of these already, and it takes some practice! I still give it 5 out of 5 stars though. Just because people are frustrated putting it together doesn't mean it's a bad product.

This 3D crystal owl puzzle was a joy to put together (instructions can be found online). The quality is superb; and on the plus side, it reminds me of Hedwig from Harry Potter. If you are a fan of owls, then this is a must have!

Easy to put together once you can google instructions for them. They do not come with instructions. Sturdy, great quality

Opened the puzzle expecting to have the pieces numbered - no numbers on the pieces, no instructions included with the puzzle. Online instructions state each piece should be numbered - they are not.

Saw one person's review who said it took them an hour and a half. I wasn't even close. I had to walk away some days and revisit with fresh eyes. After a little bit you start to get the hang of it. It does get a little easier. But you do have to use your brain and powers of observation very keenly. Having the right lighting seemed to be key for me. It definitely was challenging and I highly recommend it. I have a penguin and baby penguin puzzle set coming next. I'm looking forward to that. If you take away the platform the key and the post that holds it all together, there's actually only 39 pieces. You'd think it would go up in a snap, but it does not I'm here to tell you. I highly recommend it if you'd like a challenge. Plus it looks pretty when you're all done and can put it on the shelf. I'm hooked. NOTE: I too put down a dark towel to work on it as it made the pieces easier to see.

Not worth the money. Not suitable for children. Rubbish

This puzzle was a Christmas gift for my Daughter. She loved doing it!
