Q: Will this hold a filter that is about 2.5" in diameter?

Yes, the Hydro Life filter I use in it is 4.5 inches across.

Q: Does this hold the hydro life hl-200? if so, do you have pics?

Yes, it holds both the HL-200 and the HL-180 hose line filter as well as the Tastepure hose line filter and EVO When using it as the holder for the HL-200 the filter need to drop into the opening. When using a hose line filter either the HL-180 or TastePURE the filter lies across the notches in the holder.

Q: Where do you mount this, with screws or can I use tape?

My husband said this has to be mounted with screws and to make sure it is mounted to something solid because it has to be able to hold the weight of the water in your filter. Other wise, it will just pull out of where you put out of the trailer wall.
