Writing Skills Activity Book Ages 7-9: Ideal for home learning

Got this for my 8 yo and she sped through the pages, she really enjoyed it

There's a good variety of questions and graphics in the book which help add a bit of colour and interest. We have several different activity books to allow us to build on what my daughter is learning in year 3 at school.Advertised as age 7-9 and KS2 this translated into year 3 and 4. Of course it doesn't replace what children learn at school but it does allow some structured practice. It isn't the longest workbook but on a par with others we have so in that respect its relatively good value.

This is a fantastic book for your kid to help them improve their writing abilities and supplement what they learn in school. A progress chart is at the front of the book, and the solutions are in the back. For the age group, some of the activities could be difficult, but that's good

This is a great book to use with your child to develop writing skills, to add to what they learn in school. The answers are provided in the back of the book and there is a progress chart in the front. At the start of the book there is a “How to use this book” page.This book covers meaningful sentences, improving sentences, organising, planning, editing and proof-reading, plus much more using contemporary topics from the news. The illustrations are colourful but muted, rather than brash. Every other page has clear instructions for parents, explaining how the exercise on that and its facing page work. A great back-up to school work and perfect for the holidays. Some of the exercises may be challenging for the age group, but that’s a Good Thing.There are many other books in the series, including more story writing, comprehension and spelling quizzes.
