Outstanding product and incredible value. I was honestly expecting a few glitches or connection issues since it’s not the market leader (like Chigee) for the BMW R 1300 GS and costs almost half as much. Installation was seamless—it fit perfectly on the BMW GPS mount and was truly plug-and-play. I put it through a real test on a 2,100-mile trip, and it performed flawlessly the entire time: zero random disconnects, no overheating (which my iPhone often struggles with), and excellent performance in the rain. For the price, the reliability and performance exceeded my expectations. I’m extremely happy with it and would absolutely recommend it.

I'm very happy with it, for the price point. I like that everything links right up and works very simply around town (maps, spotify automatically work through my headset when I fire up my bike). Since I have always used my phone for backcountry travel, I have apps that function outside cell service and I always download my maps before setting off. If you are not used to downloading maps and using apps that can access GPS without cell service, you may find this unit limiting. I don't think that is the unit's fault. You can spend 2x or 3x and get something a bit more seamless, but I think the slight difference between "around town" and "middle of nowhere" riding is not an issue. If you're riding hundreds of miles away from cell coverage and civilization, you are probably used to proper planning and preparation, so having to use some app other than the go-to map apps probably isn't a big deal. Please note, this unit works great outside of cell service, you just have to know what you're doing. I feel like all the options out there now fall into three categories: Solid GPS with no carplay (inconvenient), Cheap carplay systems (require planning when you lose cell service), and great hybrid systems (cost an arm and a leg). This is a cheap carplay unit, but I think with a few good backcountry apps and a sliver of planning, it is great. I machined a custom mount for mine (I bought it with the BMW adapter, since I have considered putting a BMW cradle on my bikes). As a note, the unit uses the mount as a heat sink. When you remove it, you will see the processor and a piece of thermal transfer foam. I feel like the stock mount was not ideal for wicking away heat, so I added heat sink fins to my mount. In its stock form, I might be a little concerned about heat in the middle of summer moving slowly through the desert in 110 degree heat. It got warm (not hot) just sitting in my 65 degree shop after a couple of minutes not even transferring audio or navigating. I may be overreacting, but if you are swapping out mounts, it may be something to consider. I love the size options, too. The 5" fits my setup perfectly. I don't want to feel like I have a giant tablet strapped to my bike that does occasionally get dumped in a sand pit.

I have a 2024 BMW F900GS Adventure and I bought this with the dedicated mount. Mounting was easy and tidy. Theoretically you could keep your phone hidden away while you use this but due to the recycle rate on the maps, your phone will overheat if it’s not exposed to cooling air. I keep my phone mounted to the bike behind my wind screen under the Carpuride with an Quadlock and it works fine. With that said, you cant use your phone and the Carpuride at the same time. A sun visor over the top and sides would be a great improvement. The display disappears in direct or near direct sunlight. I’m happy with it, but it took some adjustment and there is a bit of a learning curve. I have about 6000 miles of distance touring on it and it has bettered my experience. The price was commensurate with the product and function.

Amazing. Works perfect with my iphone. Connection is smooth. Have had 1 issue where i had to turn off and in again but still works flawless… Oh and to add, make sure you keep the covers closed especially in rain. Like if you take the unit off. The pin will corrode from moisture overnight. And then when you try to clean, it pops the 3amp fuse which was impossible to find so i juat popped a 5er in. Still need to wire it into the 2pin that was supposed to be my sec system on the harley but ive been lazy. Used it for trips all around europe and its great. Oh, makensure you use night mode…. Day is too bright in the dark.

Anything is better than the BMW connect ride, or so I thought. This product has glitchy software and it often disconnects and is difficult to establish communications with both phone and helmet. Did not come with instructions or any type of product guy that would help me in the initial set up. It takes a long time to boot up and it usually takes several different attempts before it will connect. I often have to restart both the device and my helmet to get it to where I can use Siri. It's nice to have the option other than the junkie BMW broad connect that is total crap but I'm not sure if I'm willing to upgrade to the 502 BS which is quite expensive in comparison. If I spend the extra few hundred bucks for the 502 BS and it's still just as glitchy I will feel like I have wasted my money.

Quick setup with Bluetooth . Works great with CarPlay. Like the large screen. Fit perfect into the bmw 1250gs mount.

The Capurride bracket for BMW is weak and will break. I ordered 2 for my 2 BMWs. I remedied a new bracket. If you do any offroading the cheap plastic tabs will break and your Carpurride will hopefully fall in your lap. Apart from that it works great.

Instant install on my 2018 R1200 RT. Simple case of click in place. Set up was straightforward to connect Android Auto to my Pixel 8 Pro and then to my Lexin G2P headsets. All works very well and the touch sensitivity is spot on. Nice clear screen. The added bonus for me is the equaliser as it means you can tune it so the sound suits the headset without changing the parameters on the phone. I use Amazon Music and sound quality seems to be very good. Overall very happy given the price (a quarter of the Nav 6). No "wonder wheel" compatibility but I wouldn't use that anyway.

Fitted on to my 2016 s1000xr. Easily fits onto the BMW cradle. I went for the basic model that doesn’t work with the wonder wheel. Connects to iPhone and shows maps which is all I wanted it for. Screen is clear in all conditions. Good price. Would definitely recommend.

Updated : To Carpurides credit, their customer care has been really good. They have replaced my defective unit free of charge. Let’s hope this one lasts a little longer than the last. Had this just over 12 months. It’s really good whilst it lasts. However, the backlight has just died on mine rendering it useless. Considering how little something like this gets used when compared to phones and tablets, it’s really quite poor.
