It does what is supposed to do
This is a lot smaller than I thought, it's just a small leverage tool to be used to place sliders underneath the furniture. Its construction isn't very heavy duty at all, there is just one small Phillips screw holding the lever at the base, and it came already stripped but the tool works fine, there must be another type of snap-in-place mounting system inside that keeps the lever in place. But it still worked as needed, I was able to lift a heavy home theater stand with a 77" OLED TV on top and all other home theater components to place furniture sliders underneath. Don't use it for ultra-heavy stuff, I think the plastic parts aren't strong enough.

Furniture lifter
This little tool is perfect for the sofa or a small desks and dressers. Do not try to move a refrigerator. But they work on everything else.

Worked for me
You know it’s smaller than what you think. And it’s going to lift your couch, maybe two or 3 inches no more than that. It worked for me because I needed to lift the couch 2 inches. Not sure if you need to lift more than two or 3 inches. This isn’t going to do it.

Lifter doesn’t work well
I purchased the lifter thinking I could use it to help move most of my furniture. I have a bed that I estimate weighs between 400 and 500 pounds with mattress. The height needed was 8 inches so I thought I’d be ok because the product advertises a 660 pound limit and a height of 8.5 inches. Didn’t work well. The plastic “tower” collapsed several times when I tried to lift a corner of the bed. If used carefully it did work. Also note the product states it can lift 660 pounds. That’s not correct because if a piece of furniture weighs 600 pounds then one end of the furniture is really 300 pounds. I have a piano that I tried to lift on one end using the lifter. I thought I’d be ok because the piano is 610 pounds and the height is 3 inches. When I tried this the lifter simply bent. Also I want to note the high ratings for this product are for other items made by the company. Not just the lifter. Don’t purchase.

Little but mighty!!
Pleasantly surprised just how durable this is. My leather couch and love seat are very heavy. Moving to clean scratch my original real wood floors. I used this to lift to put the felt squares under the couch. It lifted them with no problem and little effort.

Handy for smaller furniture but can cause damage
It's ok and has its limits. I used it to prop up furniture legs to get an area rug underneath, and it did make that more doable. For really heavy furniture, it's probably best to get something much bigger and sturdier. This is best for just quickly propping up a furniture leg or corner to put a slider or caster or rug underneath. A few things I discovered while using it: -The lifter can damage furniture, especially wood furniture. I put a thick towel on the black metal part after I noticed that it had crushed a wood edge in order to provide some protection. -The plastic cradle is a little flimsy--the two pieces that hold the lifter wheels started breaking, maybe because I was lifting heavy furniture. -The extension cups are handy for adjusting the height of the lifter. My bed frame was higher than the lifter even with all the cups, so I propped it up on a couple of very thick books.

great little tool - every home with heavy furniture should have one
as a female who likes to do as much i can without asking the men in my house for help, i wish i knew this tool existed years ago!!!!!!! i didn't think those plastic height thingys would be strong enough but they are! i have only used this on carpet so far so i don't know if the plastic bottom would slide on a hard surface or not. but it works great on my carpet! i do see what other reviewers said about the tool ledge being narrow but i found that sometimes when i placed the height thingys down first a tiny bit closer to the edge of my furniture, and then placed the tool in the red thingy on top, i could get it close enough to get it to use all of the tool ledge if that makes sense. so far i moved two heavy wood credenzas, one with my large flatscreen tv on top since my tv is too big and heavy for me to move on my own and my bose base booster (too lazy to move it but it's a little heavy). since you're only lifting the furniture high enough to fit a glider underneath, my tv didn't even move at all so i didn't worry about it being in jeopardy. next is my bed! i can't even explain how much this tool has made a difference in my freedom!!! i wanted to move my furniture for almost 6 months now but the hassle of having to ask my son or husband and hearing their whining or having to work around when they would both be free at the same time was not worth it. with this tool it probably took me 15-20 minutes tops!

It really works!
I have a bad back and needed to shift our bed over further. The bed is massive - with power head/feet functions and also massage, plus an additional mattress topper, so it weighs a zillion pounds. I had bought a set of sliders but could not even lift one corner enough to clear the rug. I came back to Amazon and picked up this lifter, which I should have just gotten bundled with the sliders. With no helper, I was able to use this to lift it enough to get the slider under each of the feet. It was pretty easy to figure out how many of the stacking pieces to use, to get the right height for the lifting leverage. With the sliders in place, I was able to move it by myself. Without this lifter, moving that bed would have been impossible. With this lifter, the entire process took about 15-20 minutes (including the learning curve for how it worked). Definitely recommend!!!

This thing is amazing! I was sceptical it could work seeing as it was so small and made out of plastic, but it was only $25 and it had good reviews so I took a chance and it allowed me, who is not very strong, to lift up a 300+ pound solid wood handmade armoire that was full of stuff inside to boot, with ease! It took some time , but we were able to snake the carpet underneath it, plus move another ginormous even heavier dresser over to the other side of our room no problem. Very, very handy product and brilliant honestly! Just be extremely careful to be very mindful of where your fingers are at all times and your toes! Because you never know when this might accidentally break or something or who knows some kind of freak accident, so just always make sure that your fingers and toes are nowhere near the edges of your furniture and you will be fine. Anyhow, fabulous product thank you!

It's plastic. I had my doubts. The instructions are easy to follow. The tool worked perfectly, no issues. I'm very pleased.

I picked up the X-Protector Furniture Lifter Tool thinking it might be one of those “looks good in theory” gadgets… but this thing actually delivers. I recently needed to move a solid wood dresser and a heavy sofa to clean and rearrange, and normally that means recruiting help and risking a sore back. With this lifter, I was able to raise each corner just enough to slide pads underneath without feeling like I was entering a weightlifting competition. The handle has a solid grip, and the leverage design really works in your favor. It doesn’t feel flimsy or bend under pressure. Once you get the hang of positioning it correctly, it makes lifting feel controlled and steady instead of wobbly and nerve-wracking. It’s especially handy if you live alone or just don’t want to bug someone every time you need to shift furniture two inches to the left. I wouldn’t use it to hoist something outrageously heavy without care, but for everyday furniture moving, it’s a back-saver. Compact, sturdy, and actually useful. Definitely one of those tools you’re glad to have tucked away for when the “let’s rearrange everything” mood strikes.
