Cuts fairly large branches, very easy to use
I was very weary of this device because the prices of dedicated pole saws is so much higher and I was concerned this would be a cheap, easily-breakable device. I have used this to cut a TON of branches down, from a few inches to at least 8 inches in diameter, from the ground and from a ladder. This is VERY easy to install on my Husqvarna 128ld and VERY easy to take off. If you own a chainsaw, this works very similar, so it's easy to open the side, remove and replace the chain, sharpen the teeth with a chainsaw sharpening kit, etc.I have found that I needed to tighten the chain a little more often than a standard chainsaw, for some reason, but definitely not a big deal. I also had to tweak the small screw that adjusts how much oil comes out on the chain a bit, as the chain seemed pretty dry.I would recommend this to anyone who has standard yard maintenance to do - the plastic side probably wouldn't hold up very well to commercial use. I have used this a lot though and it still looks fairly new, very impressed!

Good for the money
Works great, I need to get another extension now

Good extension but in no world 11 ft
Works well. Only complaint is its a bit short for my plans. Maybe close to 11 foot if you have a 6 foot person holding it above their head.

Sturdy, and replacement chains are inexpensive
This is the second one of these I have owned/used/abused. The first one lasted about twenty years or so.Actually replaced the power unit several times - motors flat wore out and are cheap enough that they're not worth the repair cost - and the pole saw, like Timex, "takes a licking and keeps on ticking."Buy extra chains, you will use them.

Great little saw for doing light trimming
I added this saw attachment to my Greenworks 40 volt line trimmer. Great for trimming limbs from trees. I have a chainsaw but for light work this combination fires up immediately and handles limbs up to about 4 inches in diameter. I also use the saw to cut fallen limbs into manageable size.

This thing is bad ass!
The media could not be loaded. I did a short little video. Don't mind the white legs and shorts. I did this video last minute just for this review. This thing is pretty sweet. I do have some advice for you though. Make sure you adjust the oil on the chain before using it. It will get really hot if you don't. By default there is not enough oil on the chain. I put the chain up against a piece of cardboard and adjusted the oil until I saw a small amount of oil on the cardboard. Trust me you will want to do this before using. I didn't and the chain gets so hot it will sieze up on you. I had it so hot once I got the oil to start flowing the chain smoked like a fraiggt train. Once it cooled off it was awesome. Check out the video. I used almost no pressure and it cuts like butter. Happy shopping. FJB!

Durable pole saw
I've used the same pole saw for the last five years to trim the limbs along two miles of road and fence line. Overall the unit is durable. If you have a new unit, the first thing to do is tune the oiler so that it actually oils the bar, but doesn't apply too much. I use Canola oil, which is cheap, readily available and it doesn't harm me or the environment. After you have the oiler set, be sure to have the chain tension set correctly. Learn to sharpen your chain as well. No use making your job harder. When not in use, empty out all of the oil or it will leak. I think many pole saws have this issue.

Chine and bar are garbage rest of the tool is good
I recommend replacing the bar and chain with an organe product. That's what I gate in this product is absolutely wonderful with the organe bar and chain on it now
