The Lucern portable mats are light-weight and well-made. The orange side is smooth and the black side has a slight texture. They are thin with no padding. Although I haven't yet needed to, the surfaces look like they will be easy to wipe clean when they get dirty. I like the reinforced edges and built-in elastic loop, which is used to secure the mat when I fold it up. It includes a good-quality carrying pouch that fits both mats; the pouch toggle is easy for me to open and close. I didn't notice any stitching flaws or defects in the construction of the two mats.I use these mats when I go walking in the woods - there is a large stump I sit on, and I used to sit on a tea towel I brought with me, especially when the stump was damp. I now use the Lucern mat, which folds up compactly and is just the right size for me (average size) to sit on.The mats come folded, and at first I was dismayed to see the crease/fold lines when I unfolded it. However, I now appreciate the fold marks, because they remind me how to fold the mat. If I did not refold the mat, I expect the creases would lessen over time.$19.99 (price at the time of my order) for two mats seems a bit pricey, but I use these all the time, the quality is very good, and I would order more if needed.

I love that these are easy to pack and take up almost no room. They are good for sitting on, or to provide a small dampness protected area on wet picnic tables, the ground, etc. when camping or hiking. They are fairly small (correctly described in the product description) and by that I mean they are pretty much just butt sized. Since they are so easy to carry, I almost wish they were a few inches bigger to provide even more coverage. BUT nonetheless, they have replaced by previous sit-upon mats that took up quite a bit more room.

These two mats fold up and fit in a nice small bag so are easy to tuck away in a glove compartment, backpack or handbag when needed. The one side prevents water from wicking up from the ground so keeps your bottom dry and clean.Note that there is no padding whatsoever so don’t expect anything more than something to keep clean/dry — I knew this going into the purchase, so not a big deal for me. It is also just wide enough for my adult female bottom. Used recently at a parade sitting on the shoulder of the road. Worked well!

I got these for my wife and I because we do a lot of outdoor activities where we're sitting on either park benches or at picnic tables or on logs, the ground, you name it. These are very lightweight, comfortable to sit on, the right size for most every butt they work great at keeping your derriere out of whatever you don't want your derrier getting into and they're very reasonably priced. Easy to pack, I can even be tucked into a glove box if you're traveling by vehicle, easily packed in a backpack or bug out bag, picnic basket, you name it they will go with you wherever you need to take them. I can honestly say I don't want to sit in any more bird poop or tree sap and these are definitely going to save my pants!

These are neat seat mats. They do work. They are waterproof and create a barrier between me and the seat. Tried these out recently at an amusement park in the aqua theater where the seats were wet from the show before.They dry fast. It is easy to fold them and put them back in the carrying bag. The bag is big enough to fit them after I refold them. I mention that because sometimes bags like this fit so perfectly when they arrive but I can never get them back in. Not an issue with these.The biggest thing is how portable they are. Things like this are only useful if I have them with me. It is super easy to keep these in my backpack.I’m very pleased with these.

Works on a picnic bench, but not your outdoor furniture. It is a relatively small size but functional waterproof barrier for your rear. If it has recently rained, but you need to sit at the table for your meal. This will help keep your pants dry. Does not add any comfort, as far as padding, just keeping you dry. Better than nothing, but I’ll try to find something with some cushion in addition to waterproof Ness. Was hoping I could use this at stadiums, but it will just keep me dry not comfortable.

It's always nice to have something to sit on when you're out on a hike, backpacking, fishing or just at the park. I almost ruined one of my favorite pants when I once sat on a rock that had sap on it from a tree overhead. If I had this little sit-pad in my pack, that wouldn't have happened. (By the way, it turns out that rubbing liquid hand sanitizer into the sap-covered areas works wonders!)Since then, I made my own sit-pad out of a sheet of marine vinyl fabric, but this is better. I also bought a sit-pad that folds accordian style with padding, but that is bulky to carry. This sit-pad is great. It's waterproof and folds up small enough to stow easily. I like that it's bright orange, so I can find it easily and not forget to pick it up when I'm ready to hit the trail again. That this comes with two is just an added plus.
