Convenient - no cord, just flip open and use. Turns off by itself. has a "hold" button so you can pull it out and see the temp, if needed. Good feel. Plastic seems solid, not cheap.

This is an excellent meat thermometer that allows one to quickly tell when the meat your are cooking is done. Very fast temperature reading with the unit. Great when cooking chicken or any other meat that needs to be cook to a certain temperature to be safe to eat. Using on the grill while cooking steaks you can have the yours the way you like it.

Had this for a while now and it's working like a dream. Very simple design, and better for its simplicity. The prong opens easily and folds easily back in. The display is large, so clear to read when sticky the prong in a turkey or other meat at some strange angle

Needs to be water proof

The screen is entirely unreadable after 1 month of use. I tried resetting and switching out the batteries - the screen just doesn't work. And no, I didn't get the device wet (cleaned the probe obviously) or put it in the dishwasher or oven.

I needed a digital thermometer for film developing chemicals and this works great and fast. Easy to use and easy to clean

First of all, I received it on time and it was packed properly. The thermometer is light and easy to handle. However, it doesn’t feel cheap. Also, it is easy to read.

After serving a truly fine prime rib roast that was well done. Few of us wanted it to be done much less well. This device will help me avoid ruinng a hundred dollar peice of prime beef.

So easy to use with large display. Flip probe out and it automatically turns on.
