Feiyu G6 3-Axis Handheld Splashproof Gimbal for Gopro Hero 7 6 5 43 Sony RX0, WIFI Bluetooth Connection, Upgraded Algorithm, 12h Runtime, OLED Screen, No Blocks in Visual, Trail Time-Lapse Photography

The gimbal keeps the video footage nice and stable. The little screen is very useful in letting me know what mode it's in and how much battery life I have left in the gimbal. For that, this gimbal should get 5 stars.But one of its features is its ability to connect to my Gopro through wifi. First, I had to set the frequency to 2.4GHz on the Gopro for the gimbal to even see it. When I had it connected (you do the configuration through the Feiyu app), it was not very reliable. I was able to get it to start/stop recording with the button on the gimbal maybe 3 times out of 10 tries. And it would often drop that wifi connection (the handy little screen on the gimbal shows no wifi connection). I tried troubleshooting this a bit more, and even tried to figure out if it was my Gopro 6, but my Gopro app on my iPhone had no problems communicating with the Gopro through wifi (and bluetooth). For this, I deducted 2 stars.Maybe a new firmware may fix that issue. According to the Feiyu app, I'm on the latest firmware.

This is a great Gimbal, it holds everything steady, it rotates and it's very stable. But to get it to flip around toward the speaker right side up was a hassle, then to get it to go back to forward was more confusing. Now to say that I also have to say that I was once tech-savvy, but now, not so much.I watched a lot of youtube videos to make sure I was doing it all the right way and a lot of others said the same thing. "It is just a little complicated" it has to be reset a few more times than I would like. I called support and they were really helpful, well at least they tried to be. I guess I just didn't want the hassle of learning something new or just the fact that it was a lot more to carry with my GoPro 5. I returned it, not because it was a bad product or the fact that it didn't do what it was supposed to do. I just figure it was too much for me. With the $2??.00 Refund I upgraded to the GoPro 7 Black, which has a built-in stabilizer. No it is not near as stable as the Feiyu G6 3-Axis, but it is nowhere near the weight or as complicated.Now if I were to shoot some professional footage or I just wanted it to look professional, the gimbal is the way to go.It sure was fun to play with, so if you have the money to spend and enjoy some more fun toys, this is the way to go.Hope this review helps you, PLEASE hit HELPFUl to let me know. I was very excited to get the Feiyu G6 to use with my Sony RX0. I own quite a few gimbals, for use with various cameras, but I was truly excited about the prospect of a dedicated gimbal for the Somy RX0/I have had several major issues with the G6 Gimbal. I returned the first one... thinking that I may have gotten a bad copy. Now that I am on G6 #2 I can say that the Feiyu G6 does NOT work with the Sony RX0- No way to lock the tilt function. In fact, the tilt seems to drift causing your horizon to go off level.- The G6 does not work with Sony RX0. As mentioned, I returned my first copy thinking that it may have been defective, however, both have had the same serious issue. The Feiyu G6 vibrates SIGNIFICANTLY when used with the Sony RX0. The vibration is so pronounced that it picked up by the microphone as a serious amount of white noise. It also causes you to lose some sharpness in the images. Obviously, these are deal killers for anyone who needs usable footage. The issue seemed to be a lack of adjustments points to balance the camera. The vibration felt like the motor straining in an attempt to balance the camera. I attempted to find ways to better balance the camera on the baseplate, and while I was able to balance it I still got a lot of vibration.Other Notes- The app seemed to work rather well. It gave you external control of the gimbal.- I did check for firmware updates. According to the app I was using the most recent version.Final Verdict - I can't recommend this gimbal for use with the Sony RX0. In fact, there are tons of great options for GoPros so I am not sure if there is any reason to purchase the Feiyu G6

Amazing product. This is the first gimbal I have ever used and it is extremely user friendly. I run the G6 with a GoPro Hero5 Black. The ergonomics of the G6 feel very smooth and comfortable; the entire system can be controlled with one hand. I connected the G6 to my Phone through the FeiyuOn App and then connected the G6 to my GoPro with the Bluetooth connection. Once both phone and GoPro were paired, the system remembered the connections and automatically connected the next time I turned it on. The motors are very quiet however I recommend the wind only mode in the GoPro for the best results. I also highly reccomend a hand strap for the system so that you have peace of mind. I run a 1/4 D screw with a paracord leash. All in all, a great product!

I received the G6 quickly as promised and the gimble worked great after a short learning curve and some basic practice.Received the unit on September 28 and just before a never again trip to Italy on October 20th, the unit quit working . . the gimble just stopped balancing and the camera only tilts down and the unit just vibrates with no movement or following. Disappointed greatly that I had to use another gimble on my trip . . will try to contact seller to see if there is a remedy to the issue . . Will post an update pending a reply.11/07/18: After some back and forth with seller, they agreed to accept the returned damaged gimble and replace it with a new one at no cost . . . Agnes is a great customer service rep and attempts to resolve all issues with this product . . we'll see if the replacement has any issues. Now feel more confident in product due to issue resolved by seller.

I have sold my G5 (V2) and got this one. I only had my G5 for 6 months, but I just had to get this one because I have tried my friend's G6. I'd say it had some huge improvements over G5 in terms of stability, usability, adjustability and overall feel. I especially liked that you can manually balance your camera after it's mounted, so that the camera end does not tilt down by gravity right after you turn the gimbal off.There is one thing that kind of bothered me a bit when I first start using this: turning it on takes a couple of seconds longer than G5, but I have since gotten used to leaving this on for multiple shooting sessions.

the gimbal works great. It was easy to connect to my Hero 5 using the app. However I have issue when I use my gopro Hero4. It connects (I need to turn off my cell's bluetooth and wifi at home) to the gimbal but button would only turn on video. I can't turn off video nor change to other settings using gimbal's button. They probably need to update firmware so it will work with Hero 4 too. Another issue I had is the cable they provide to connect gimbal with my Hero 5 to work as a powerbank. The connection to charge my Hero 5 is too lose. I am disappointed with the cable since the powerbank feature is one of the main reason why I chose this gimbal. Have to go to Canada Computer one of these days to check if I can find a cable replacement.

This Gimbal is just fine apart from the front cover falling off. This was the start of the problems for me. I have tried to contact seller a number of ways to get it fixed and still no response... I have contacted feiyu tech and they did respond but they directed me to contact seller. So now I am stuck with this pricey new peace of equipment and I am stuck with covering it in electrical tape to make it work...

Works really well even on my motorcycle but sometimes get slightly off level and I have to adjust the tilt. For the money it is a great gimbal.

Just received mine but had to return it. Battery was missing as well as the clip for the camera. The gimbal itself had stains on it. The usb cable was on the slot for the battery. Can’t submit comment without star rating so I put 1 for now.
