picked this up out fo curiosity since i heard they had improved the lists compared to the 2014 edition, they werent wrong, though some of the new art choices are abit...crap compared to the old versions...oh and it's alreayd slightly out of date as they released a day 1 errata for the book via d&d beyond.

It’s the 2024 monster manual, If you want to player as a DM you need it, if you want to play as a player, buy it if you are interested in reading about the different creatures of the game.

A must have for all DnD players, contains all the updates for DND creatures plus a few more to boot, a good buy.

This book has everything a D&D manual should have. I bought this for a family member and they love it, however I can't comment on it's written contents The graphics are good.

There wasn't as much lore as I anticipated (as a new player whose previous closest thing was Mordenkainen's MOTM and who has never owned a Monster Manual). The stat blocks are reasonably well organised and do give some info on the creatures like how they might relate to other subspecies or their habitats.

A great resource for the classic monsters of D&D. Makes DM'ing easier with inspiration for encounters so your players have more fun. The full descriptions are helpful for getting consistent play across multiple encounters and the full-color illustrations are helpful for descriptions. This can also be used as a resource to develop your own monsters and to write them up. The Monster Manual is the ideal companion book for the DM's Guide and worth the investment to take your craft to the next level.
