So although I have had a PS5 Edge for 2 years now I'd never really go into using the back buttons properly Recently the past few months I've been playing Lies of P and the past few weeks Stellar Blade Lies of P I had the left back to block and right back button to one of the attack buttons which allowed me to use the other essential face buttons to heal in the middle of a fight properly I mapped similar controls when going into Stellar Blade due to the very similar nature of the combat and the need to block, parry and attack while dodging, healing etc The right back button stopped being springy after about 6 weeks of playing Lies of P but found I could swap the levers over and have them in a different position and still have the spring when pressing. Stella Blade I've been playing loads the past month but a couple of days ago the back left (mapped to attack) began to be less responsive, by yesterday there was no spring in it and very difficult to get the button engaged which is the last thing you want in a game like this. Ordered the kit this morning and had it delivered in less than 12 hours I have already had to open up my PS5 edge multiple times due to upgrading the battery initially and then after the back plate cracked I had to buy a replacement which again was from ExtremeRate The kit was impressive, including more than enough of each type of screw you remove from the controller to replace with brand new screws but also has a couple of spare of each type and of the springs in case they are lost during disassembly The hardest part of this whole install is just the disassembly and since there are no electronic pieces or connections that need to be unplugged this is VERY easy to install if you are patient and follow the video Turns out one of the back button attachments the arm that they rock on to allow the connection and disconnection has broken off. I replaced both sides as I read the ExtremeRate are stronger material, I tested fully before I put the back plate back on and seemed responsive . Then threw the broken rocker away , put the back cover on and used ALL new screws for closing back up. All is working 100% and I'm left with one spare (original) magnetic rocker mechanism, the original plates and a tonne of screws and springs and packaged back up so that should another break in the future I have a replacement to tide me over until I purchase another kit I am EXTREMELY glad that ExtremeRate make these kits and the others they do for the PS5 Edge else I would be paying out of warranty fix prices to Sony or throwing the controller away. Recommended to all that use their PS5 Edge a lot because these controllers need love, caring and regular maintenance to be on top form. My hope would be that Sonys next premium controller takes the modularity concept even further, but we will see, but as for the product? So far 5 Stare and a recommend Will come back in the future should the parts break, but fingers crossed

If like me you don't find yourself regularly having to take controllers apart, this might test your patience a little, not the fault of the product but it's definitely a tedious process. I felt like the magnetic casing that secures the paddles was mocking me by stealing the screws each time I tried to screw them back in. However, with the available guides it was made less painful and after many months the controller functions perfectly. I'd highly recommend them, I recommended them to a friend who then asked if I'd replace them for him and immediately regretted my recommendation.

Perfect replacement for original ps back buttons. I broke my ba k right button, ordered this kit get everything you need to do the job yourself. 40 mins max took me. The replacement housings and buttons have way stronger magnets also. Top job defo recommend this not my first time ordering from this company for custom parts and replacements.
