Good quality hinges. Used these to hang a pair of 7' gates. Nice and strong and easy to fix. Pity they are not supplied with screws? Make sure you buy screws in addition to buying the hinges.

Got them for a side gate I was making. These turned up and was very happy. They would support a much bigger gate than the one I made.

Used these hinges to hang a seriously heavy 8' x 4'6" gate with no problems. How on earth Joanne B's dog could lift a gate eneogh for it to come off the top hinge is beyond me. My gate is a two man lift. No fixings were supplied.

We bought and used these hinges for a simple wooden gate. The day after the gate was hung it fell down and landed on one of my dogs. On inspection we found that the hinge hook had bent as shown in the photo causing the gate to topple.We are not entirely sure how this occurred but we know that our dog caught herself on the gate as she went past. We can only assume that lifted the gate slightly so it was off the top hinge and the bottom hinge could not take the weight. Considering these hinges are listed as suitable for farm stable doors this is not good.Contacted the seller but they did not want to accept any liability for this accident at all and near enough accused us of lying. Understandable since there has been an injury but we had already said we would not be claiming for veterinary care that was needed. We just wanted them to accept and change the description that these hinges are 'heavy duty' as they are clearly not, to send us a new plate to replace the broken one and an extra set of hinges to make the gate sturdy.In the end they have offered us a return and refund, eventually, but this does not solve the safety issue. PLEASE BUYER BEWARE AS I HATE TO THINK OF A CHILD BEING HIT BY A FALLEN GATE/DOOR THAT THESE FLIMSY HINGES HAVE BEEN USED FOR.

Very sturdy, much better than my old Tee Tee hinges.
