Not what I expected
I purchased this product to make Vegan Royal Icing for Sugar Cookies. The aftertaste was unbearable.

Great for royal icing!
I love decorating sugar cookies, but when my daughter was diagnosed with food allergies I knew I needed to change my recipes. This powder is exactly what I have been looking for to make royal icing. I had previously tried using aquafaba instead of meringue powder, but the icing didn’t harden as well and the colors seemed to run more easily. This meringue powder yields a nice icing consistency that dries relatively quickly, smoothly, and is quite comparable to regular royal icing. I was able to draw on the cookie with food marker after leaving them for about 5 hours, so it definitely “crusts” like normal royal icing. The taste is also very good. It’s a bit lemony, which hides the beany, earthy taste that comes with chickpea substitutes. I actually couldn’t resist eating the icing while I was making the cookies, so Id say it’s yummy. I used Sweet Ambs suggestions on how to make the frosting and overall I was very pleased with the results!The one downside is the price. The suggested recipe calls for 45g of meringue powder with just 1lb of powdered sugar. That’s about twice the amount needed for an equivalent amount of sugar using typical meringue. A bag for $18 (+ shipping) is only going to give you about 10 dozen cookies worth of frosting.Other than that would definitely recommend this product!

Not certified organic
They are using the term organic, but the ingredients are not certified organic, so you don't know if there are pesticide residues in the product or not. I hate it when manufacturers do this. Look for the certified organic label and support certified organic products.
