ESV Women's Study Bible, Artist Series (Cloth over Board, Lulie Wallace, Emma)

This Bible is well-made, beautiful box, beautiful jacket, amazing gold embossing inside highlighting certain passages. I put a pen across the width to show how thick it is. This was a purchase He led me to, and I am very glad He did.

I'm so pleased with this Bible -- my old ESV Study Bible wasn't hardcover and It was falling apart, and so I needed to replace It. I love that they've added more details to the commentary, devotionals, as well as pretty designs. Great buy!

All of my bibles are KJV or Cepher because I love to read YAH's name in it's original form. It was time to add some femininity to my Bible collection. I purchased this ESV version and a pink KJV Bible.This Bible is stunningly beautiful. The artwork is amazing, it is well laid out visually. I love that each chapter has an introduction with a useful outline that references: the author, date written and the recipients of the message.The theme is also highlighted as well as the purpose and occasion. Additionally key themes and an outline is included is included in the introduction of each chapter.Profiles of the characters are included in a featured box with in the chapters.There are a ton of cross references, commentary and other useful content in the footer of each page. There are also very useful charts and graphs in many of the chapters. Making this. Bible a very effective study guide.There are also beautiful pages that reference scriptures and the artwork throughout, for example there's a very detailed drawing of Solomon's temple in the book of 1 Kings. The maps are all in color.There's a yearly Bible reading plan included, my only gripe with the reading plan is that it assumes you're starting January 1st. This should have been a little more thought out because it's March for me and I'd prefer an undated reading plan, but that's definitely not a deal breaker for me.There's also an OT Hebrew Calendar included for reference.In summary this is a great addition to my growing Bible collection. It is very visually appealing but it seems to have the meat needed to study in depth. I will use it to study and cross reference with my KJV Bible's.

This is a beautifully constructed and thoughtfully arranged ESV study Bible. In addition to the full text of the ESV scripture, it also contains hundreds of resources, including devotions scattered throughout the text, commentary, maps, illustrations, a concordance, and a few dozen articles on various topics by a variety of Christian authors. While these resources can certainly enrich the Bible study experience, I would like to mention-- as always when placing a human's words alongside God's Word, the reader needs to exercise discernment and prioritize the Biblical text over any human commentary or application. (Just gotta give a general caveat since I haven't read all of the added material to check for Biblical accuracy, haha. I'll get off my soap box now.)Now as for the physical construction and aesthetic of this volume, I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful study Bible. It is clear that the publishers put so much thought, prayer, and worship into the creative arrangement and beautiful presentation of this Bible. The art throughout the text and on the cover is beautiful, and this would make a lovely graduation, bridal, or really any other type of gift.My one disappointment is that the pages (like all Bibles, it seems) are extremely thin and fragile. Mine came damaged (see pictures) as the pages were creased and folded over in several places throughout. I went through and flattened them back out and have been pressing it between several other heavy books for a day or so, and while it's looking better, I can still see the damage. Hopefully with a little more pressing, it should even out.
