Keratex Hoof Hardener

Don’t like the smell can’t tell if it’s helping I think it is but still early days .my horse heavy cob lost it front shoes in very wet field and advised by farrier to use it and see how he goes barefoot never shod behind . Not cheep but you use tiny amount so will last.

I have used this product over a lot of years. I had a thoroughbred who had very brittle hooves which improved massively when I used Keratex. I now have a Lipizzan who has good feet and I am trying to keep unshod

Great for help hooves transition to barefoot and all round strength. Definitely helped my horse.

So far so good with this product. This together with an alteration to diet cutting out an amount of bran has made a big difference. My horse hasn't lost a shoe in the last two months and his feet have improved remarkably

Seems to be doing the job easy to paint on smells potent proof will Be when farrier returns next week but hopefully will help with my ex racehorses feet and save my vets bills !!!

Ce produit permet de renforcer la corne du sabot ; un très bon produit pour les chevaux qui ont une mauvaise qualité de corne, en plus de veiller à leur fournir une alimentation adaptée. Je l'utilise tout au long de l'année sur sabot ferrés ; cela a permis de largement diminuer les casses sur pied de Pur-Sang.

La sole de mes chevaux est plus solide

Pas de changements visibles sur les sabots de mon pur sang à moyen terme. Un produit un peu décevant donc, car on m'en avait vanté ses mérites et j'en attendais beaucoup…

Le produit est bon pour les sabots des chevaux, mais je manque le mode d'emploi à la boîte ou au flacon!

Dear Keratex.This product is absolutely the best for hardening hooves! That said, I want to gripe about one major design flaw. In order to use the product, you are standing bent over, holding a horse's hoof, and using the included brush to paint the product onto the hoof. Guess what invariably happens? Sploosh. Something knocks the bottle over. I just lost half the contents of the bottle I received two days ago. Screw the cap back on? Nope. Then you have to try to get the cap off while holding the horse's hoof. A "tupperware" type lid would be fantastic, or a small tray that could be easily drained back into the bottle when finished with application.

Do NOT flick in your eye by accident that hurts a LOT! And your horse may get freaked when you frantically dunk your whole head in his water bucket.Otherwise, this is a great product. But use eye protection and gloves.

Amazing stuff. I've used for years to toughen hooves, as in tougher hooves in 48 hours that can trot on gravel that they gimped on 2 days ago and kill white line disease. But had a horse with thrush all over and inside deep in his hooves. I soaked in Oxine/White Lightening and Lysol soaks a few times and saw improvement but still fungus up under the frog. Trimmer told me to pain this on the whole frog, sole and heels and up sides of hoof (but not on coronet band) daily. Holy smokes what a healing! Major improvement in days and 2 months later hes all grown out! It says not to paint on frog/heels on package but she said she does on many horses (she does over 200 horses and many Ramey type rehabs). WORKS

This stuff is incredible! I bought a mare that had been kept shod on all four for years. I had her back shoes pulled when she first arrived and the outer walls immediately started chipping and breaking away. I wanted to pull the fronts as well, but after a couple trims, I saw no improvement so a friend suggested trying this. I was apprehensive because of the size bottle and the price, but this stuff is truly amazing! I applied every day for a week and immediately noticed a difference. I then had her front shoes pulled. She had no trouble with the transition at all - no soreness, nothing and has not had a single chip, crack, or break. Her hooves look lovely. I still apply 2-3 times a week and her hooves are rock solid! If you've got a horse with soft or brittle hooves, this stuff is definitely worth trying! Just make sure you don't get any on the frogs of their hooves!
