Purchased this manhole cover to cover an existing concrete effluent tank. The tank had a concrete cover that weigh 100 pounds that was impossible to lift for me. I screwed it on to the tank and it works perfectly.

Product is mostly metal. Much too heavy and vulnerable to rusting. Will be returning item !

We built an outdoor kitchen and found out no long after that rainwater tended to accumulate in front of it. I played around with different solutions, but decided to run a drain along the end of it and into a concrete sump with a sump pump. Since it was right next to the living area, I needed to cover it, and when I saw this I knew it was the solution.This cover and ring are extremely heavy and durable. I poured the sump myself and left enough headspace to pour the ring for this into the top of it. I didn't drill any holes through this, so I have no idea how hard/easy that is, but it is definitely strong enough to hold me standing on it. I like that the lid requires a tool to pull up since we occasionally have children around and need to keep it secured.It is definitely worth the money and the perfect solution for my situation.

I found an old shutoff value for the landscaping irrigation out in my yard. After digging it out, I wanted to put something over it to keep the dirt out of it in the future. This fit the bill perfectly.When I got the package, I was surprised by how heavy the whole unit was. Pulling it out, it was clear it was constructed to last. The two pieces were solid ABS (I think), but was a lot heavier than any other product using that material I have used.
