The plugs are solderless as the wire is terminated by tightening a screw. 4 plugs are included in this pack which is enough to terminate the cable at each end for one speaker. Normally two plugs are required for the connections to the amplifier and two for the connections to the speaker. If your amp or speakers have binding posts without holes for plugs then you may only need two plugs per speaker. These great value banana plugs are gold plated to ensure a low resistance connection. Suitable for round speaker cable up to 4mm² For smaller diameter speaker cables simply strip off 6mm of the outer sheath and double the bare copper back. Undo the banana plug screw fully and insert the bare cable. Hold down firmly and tighten the securing screw. For 4mm cable it is not necessary to double back the bare copper. Strip off 3mm of the outer sheath, twist the copper and insert directly into the plug. What's even more the plugs are stackable which is particularly useful for series and parallel connected installations. This is also useful if the plugs are used in other applications such as in a lab or for electronic projects. Remember this 4 pack has enough connectors for 1 loudspeaker.
