I've used a belt key ring clip in some form for over 45 years, and this is by far and away the best one I've encountered so far.I'm not a "keys in the pocket" type of person. I'm also not a "everything I need is on my key ring" type of person either. Just the keys please. Yet I can't tell you how many times my keys have become detached and lost due to various belt clips I've tried. Leather ones, metal ones, paperclip style metal ones, leather loop with a key ring attached, and so on. I'm sure you know of or maybe even used some of the ones I'm referring to. There's always been something that's happened to all of them that eventually leads to my keys becoming detached and sometimes lost. For example my latest one, a nice leather belt loop with a brass spring based type catch. Well, after a year or so the spring broke and the closure piece came off and "there goes my keys". Of course I only found out after spending about an hour in a home improvement store and I reached for them to get in my car.I was immediately intrigued by the design as it was different from every other belt key ring device that I've seen. I really like that fact that even if the "lock" portion were to either not lock properly or break, it would take some work for it to actually detach from my belt. I've actually tried it, just didn't lock it (at home of course) and it didn't come off. I know, not a true test, but I thought it performed really well. It's also not very big or bulky. Not that most key belt clips are, but this is even more slim than most. It took a small bit of practice but I was able to manage clipping and unclipping with one hand.So, overall VERY nice! I know that I've only owned this a short while, but initially, I'm very pleased. If something would happen to change this I will certainly update my review.But based on everything so far, I would a) definitely order this again, and b) definitely recommend this to others.A+++++

I'm not new to belt attached key rings, but I wanted one that would work when I wasn't wearing a belt. My other clips could slide off while running, but this mortise lock design actually clips on firm to a pocket. I can use this while running and it stays well on either my jeans pockets or my basketball style shorts.Oh, and it also latches securely to belt.One thing to note is that this is really made for permanently attaching a keyring or loop to. Once it's on your pocket, you can't easily clip on/off a keyring like you would with the common belt hooks. To remove this, you unlatch and take the whole clip on/off your belt/pocket. There's nothing stopping you from using a carabiner to attach to the included keyring, but then you give up some of the compact form factor.

I purchased this BANG TI Mortise Lock Design Stainless Steel Key Ring Belt Clip Keychain Clip Belt Loop Key Chain Holder only after assuming it was actually made from Titanium after seeing how high the price was at almost $30.00 !! (which is literally the only way I could possibly justify the cost) also the fact that the letters TI appearing in the branding is the short symbol for the element of... yup Titanium, as well as the color and appearance of it being Ti which I now realize is just Ti plated. ( My Mistake )Overall, it is pretty nice in function and solidly built BUT really too heavy and not what I was looking for. I wanted a lightweight option for my purposes, and this is NOT it.I am taking stars away based on value proposition alone as it is extremely overpriced in my opinion for a small stainless-steel keychain that is approaching almost $30.00 in cost. Once again, had it been made using a more premium and ultralight material such as titanium then it could only then be justified.
