What size are these cards?

I'd say maybe 2x2in... I can't find our set to measure for certain, but they were square and around the same width as a regular playing card.

Is one of the cards the count?

Yes, that is why I bought them, my one year old grandson loves the count!

Is there a plastic grid/board for the tiles to sit in when playing?

Are the tiles thick cardboard, or just cardstock?
