This was my first time trying to clean our mini-splits and this kit was incredible. I connected the spray gun to our outside hose since that could reach inside to the units. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to save some money and clean their units themselves!

System looks complicated and includes exactly what you need to clean your mini-split. You will need some tools (plumber's slip joint pliers) and a garden hose or extension hose to install and complete the kit. I used this on a 10-year-old Daikin 12K BTU head and it cleaned up beautifully. Hardest part was the drain tube being a little long for my 8' ceiling-to-floor distance as this funnel is designed for pretty much everything including 10'+ ceilings with wall-mount heads. I'd imagine it would be very difficult with a ceiling-mount cassette as it's not designed for vertical funneling. Took about 10 minutes to set up everything from the bib and bucket to the faucet hose and sprayer. Of special note is the FREAKING AWESOME collapsible bucket the bib funnel drains into...I'd buy that all by itself if it was a separate product! The instructions were spot on and even mentioned that the bib is a bit temperamental with the elastic draw cord catching on the plastic as it bunches up. After some finagling, figured out that it's easier to adjust the bib BEFORE trying to fit it around the condenser head (not mentioned in the instructions, but highly recommended). Also recommended and mentioned in the instructions is to use a separate plastic cover for any electronics that are exposed once the head cover is removed. Even though I didn't do this (yea, I got lucky), the sprayer is like a high-pressure spray handle and is easy to control where you spray with the included wand and nozzle so as to NOT get the electronics wet. Once the sprayer's ready to go, the foaming cleanser does a great job...another product I'd buy separately if available. The fins on the condenser were sparkling clean after two cycles of foam and sprayer while the wand attachment and 40 degree nozzle made cleaning the fins and fan blades quick and painless. As long as your bib is positioned well, you won't have any leaks and your room will stay dry thanks to the heavy-duty plastic bib and drain funnel. Again, the drain bucket is AWESOME and made dumping the overflow quick and mess-free. Clean-up is a snap as the bib is easy to wash out with the included sprayer with the 40-degree nozzle; just hang it over a shower rod and let it drip dry. I just packed up everything in the original packaging after everything dried out and I'll be using it all again if I can find more of the spray cleaner. Overall best value for the money - more expensive systems won't work any better and the cheaper options...well, you get what you pay for, so be ready with towels. Besides the hose extension and plumber's pliers, the kit had everything you need including a crazy number of adapters for different types of sinks or faucets. Those alone made this kit a superior purchase and a guaranteed fix for a dirty job done right!

This kit is a lifesaver! Our Daikin mini splits were so gross and this worked so well I’d say it was perfect. The air smells much better now.We used a whole can of cleaner on one unit, and reordered just the cleaning foam to do our other units. The rest of the kit can be used on multiple units, so this was a decent investment-definitely less expensive than paying someone to do it - if you can even find someone who does this.We found it was best to have 2 people to be sure the drain stays in the bucket, and we definitely needed lots of towels and a poncho.A wet vac nearby wouldn’t be the worst idea, especially if you’re working over a carpeted surface.So long as you’re willing to get a bit wet and be disgusted by what comes out of your mini split, this is a great solution!

I hadn't cleaned my newer mini split in 3 years. I had no idea how dirty it truly was, even with cleaning the filters pretty regularly. I had a clog in the drain line which spurred doing a deep clean. The kit came with everything (except plastic to cover the electrical junction box. Make sure you have something on hand before starting). I ended up spending 2-3 hours cleaning, so be prepared. It will also take time to disassemble the related covers for your model and clean/dry time for those parts.I ended up with over 25 gallons of dirty water, all said and done. The kit worked well and having low pressure washer included is critical to get a good clean. Very happy with the product. I would definitely recommend it.

Really good kit. Makes things quick

The two sprayer pieces in this kit didn't fit together, Amazon will not take returns on this product. Called product support and no one answers or returns a call or email. Look elsewhere for a better product.
