If the plastic cover takes too much space, you can remove it from the rim nut with a little effort and then re-insert it later. This means that you can also run the wheel bolts deeply embedded in the rim. In addition, the bats have a ball-bearing hole for an optimal fit on ratchets or impact wrenches.
