Not a safe toy for kitties
This toy is not at all what I expected or hoped for. When it arrived this morning the first thing I noticed was that strands of fluff fell off onto my hands and clothing when I picked it up. Curious as to how bad this problem might be, I rubbed a sticky lint roller over the 'toy' then pulled off the sticky sheet, rubbed it with a new sheet, then repeated a third time. The attached photo shows what came loose onto that third roller sheet: massive numbers of fine fibers as well as a bit of mylar that tore off unexpectedly. Surely any cat playing with this would be harder on it than a lint roller, and all those loose fibers couldn't be good for a cat that swallowed them. I threw it away.

My cat is obsessed, he loves crinkly noisy things
My cat is 5 months old and has always been obsessed with anything crinkly, crunchy, loud and noisy. Tissue paper, paper or plastic bags, newspaper. We got him one of those small mylar crinkly balls and he absolutely crushed it flat after weeks of crazy play. I realize he's a big cat now! He needs a more substantial crinkly that I can throw around for him. I found this and it was perfect! I wish it were MORE crinkly and noisy but he seems to love it regardless. I often see him skulking around the house with it in his mouth. It's just heavy enough to throw around for him too. He has not torn it apart and I have not seen anything come off it. We got him another one as back up!

MAKES THE TOP 5 OF MY CAT-WORTHY TOY LIST
I have two (unfortunately) very smart Siamese Kittens who are toy-selective. I'm careful not to leave any of the toys laying around to "get old", and rotate each new one in only in different playtime hours when they're awake. But these discriminating cats prefer the following (in this order) and I have tried EVERYTHING else:1. Da Cat Catcher mouse (NOTHING is more popular, & I tried ALL of the other Da Cat Catchers)2. THIS toy - mylar fuzz balls in large and small. My cats pick them up and carry them around in their mouths and have a ball playing with them on their own.3. Da Cat Catcher detachable bird feather guinea toys4. Mini Tiger Lure (Jackson Galaxy's online store)5. Tiger Lure (Jackson Galaxy's online store)6. Other small toys in Jackson Galaxy online store, especially the grey mouse with the rattle inside7. Katydid Cat Dancer (but skip the catepillar/dragonfly/spider and others. None are as good, and the stick broke within 4 weeks so I'd say this brand should be last on your list)I can highly recco the Scratch Lounge II (there's a nicer one on amazon that's modern in design, but your cats will chew them both so I'm sticking with this cheap one), and this fits under the beds too.Save your money and skip the other toys.

Snobby kitties don't care for it
My cat loves anything that crinkles so I got her this....well I took it out of the package and noticed that it barely crinkled. I tried my best to crinkle it but she was not amused be it. I have 2 cats and both ignored it. My chihuahua like it so that's that!

Good toy for finicky cat
I like the size; it doesn't get shoved under the couch easily like the smaller ones. One cat who has never been interested in the smaller ball toys-regardless of material-seems to enjoy the fluffy, cottony material of this one. Minimal material has been pulled out to date. I ordered a second one because the first gets more playtime than other toys.

Really Big!
This crinkle ball is truly jumbo in size. I was trying to replace an older one that had seen better days. The new one is significantly larger. That said, our cat has managed to stretch the crinkle piece halfway out of the ball. I think because of the size, he's not as nearly interested in this one. I did order smaller ones too that he's more into

Cats love it
I recommend taking a zip tie thru the center to hold it together better otherwise cat will have this destroyed in seconds. Cat loves it. An its decent sized. About baseball size ish.

Overpriced by my cat loves it
My cat loves to bat around the small mylar crinkle balls but loses them instantly. I was looking for a large crinkle ball that my cat wouldn't lose within 5 minutes and this fit the bill. I wish it wasn't covered half with fuzz and I hope that my cat doesn't tear it apart. My cat went crazy for this ball but the price is a bit steep for one ball. Hope it lasts!
