Outstanding book
I just finished my first read through of this book, and I'm sure I'll read it a second time and continue to use it as a reference going forward. I really like the fact that the first half of the book is focused on preparing you mentally for success. In fact, so much of what he writes about is applicable to other areas of your life outside of fitness that I would recommend the book to anybody interested in personal or professional self-improvement.I also appreciate that the author goes out of his way to let you know this isn't easy; there is no magic shortcut to fitness. No easy 3 day a week, half-hour workouts and no magic fitness dust to sprinkle on your food. No nonsense, but thoughtful and insightful advice, particularly on how to fight through and deliver maximum effort. The combination of clear and concise writing, combined with easy to implement strategies for success and a plethora of workout plans, all easily customizable makes this an easy five star choice. One of the best books I have purchased on any subject recently.

Great book!
This book is dummy proof! It gives you so many options to improve yourself inside and out. I use to do strength and condition under his old program ( Gym Jones) back home in Texas. I went to a seminar or two of his and I enjoyed the energy and the amazing competitive spirit. Even though I wasn't the top person there you felt accomplished after a work out.So when I had the opportunity to buy this book I took it. I have been doing the 12 week program within the book for a week now and I am addicted. The feeling is just like being back home competing with my buddies. There are so many options Bobby gives you to substitute ( modify ) movements and even a step by step gallery of pictures to make sure you get it right. He even has goals for you to aim for and yes at first they may seem imposable, but they are real times people have set and some surpassed ( I've seen it). I cant wait to see how much I improve over these 12 weeks.** ITS ALL UP TO YOU *** a book isn't going to wake you up and get you out of bed.comment or ask me any questions! I totally recommend the book!

Good
Different take on training, more volume, more speed, aerobic pace. A couple of exercises and grinding them out as long as you can. Not the take 2 minutes of rest between exercises.

Change your mind, change your body
Aside from this guy being a consummate professional, knowledgable teacher, and balls-to-the-wall trainer, he teaches lessons about mindset that really resonate. My personal favorite is called GREEN LIGHT THOUGHTS. Whenever you're getting yourself down, or when you hear that voice in your head telling you to quit on that 1000m row challenge, you think a "green light thought": I got this. I can do this. I won't quit. That has been a saving grace concept in and out of the gym. Also, there are like hundreds of workout in this book.I love this book.

Necessary for everyone
Absolutely love this book. Bobby Maximus is the man and he gets into detail about workout programs, health and diet guide, and mentality. He is one of the most genuine people in the fitness world and trustworthy. I love listening to him featured on podcasts and his YouTube, but having his book is even better. It’s made that if you want to skip around you can, or you can read through it. Recommend it for all skill levels. It’s great to freshen up or even look more into how to create a way to improve your workouts.

Plenty of examples
Okay...so I’m not planning on a Maximus body anytime soon...but love this book. I always (or a lot of times anyways) look for philosophies to apply. I like the basic philosophy behind this one is “do all things well”...so whether you want to be the biggest baddest guy in the gym or if you want to run your first marathon...do all things well. It’s an odd fit...and certainly you’ll specialize or have leanings depending on what you are trying to accomplish...but the mindset is on point as far as I am concerned. The workouts...not for the faint of heart!

Great workout book overall
Great book. Very inspirational. Other half of the book has many great workouts. Even if you have no gym equipment he has some workouts for that and they are not easy.

Straight to the Point No BS Fitness Book
I’m a Bodyweight trainer not a weight lifter , but there are plenty of good ideas and brutal workouts for that. Even if you don’t do the workout plan there is workout section for strength, intervals, muscle gain, circuits and No gear workouts. So most people could find some great workouts to try. Bobby seems generally an intelligent trainer that designs simple but effective workouts. The workouts are no fluff, pretty brutal and straight to the point. Lot of crap in the fitness industry and it’s not often im opened to up to new ideas to training. Yes this is a good book.
