Bright
Right out of the box. Put the battery in and wow really bright the beam is adjustable, not crazy about when set for a direct beam it's 9 small squares. But it is bright. The side light is cool 2 different brightness , has a red and a red and blue flashing for emergency I would assume. Build quality is really good all aluminum body. High reccomended item.

Extremely rugged flashlight
The best thing about this flashlight is its amazing brightness. It lights up my whole back yard. The construction is very rigid, giving the impression of being a long lasting flashlight.

Brightest flashlight I have ever used!
This is, by far, the brightest handheld flashlight I have ever used.I compared it to my old LED flashlights and it blows them away with brightness.There are five light choices: Hight, Medium, Low, Strobe, and SOS.To shut off, cycle through the five choices or hold the button for 3 seconds.
