Great multimeter for household use
I have been doing some basic electrical work in my house and quickly realized I needed a multimeter. First, I used it on my car battery. I have a dashcam that has a parking mode, which means it uses constant power even when the car is turned off. It was draining my battery and I always had to jump start it after a period of inactivity. I used this multimeter on the car battery to check the voltage and make sure that the alternator was working properly in charging the battery. It confirmed that the hardwire kit that had a voltage cutoff when the battery reaches 11.6 volts was causing the problem. I turned the parking mode off when in my garage which solved the problem. I also used this changing every bulb in my car to LED lights, inside and out. I also hardwired the dashcam to my reverse light, meaning when I shift my car into reverse, the dashcam auto switches to a parking mode with parking lines. To do this, I had to connect the positive wire that provides power to the reverse light to the dashcam wire. I needed to use this multimeter to find which of the wires was the positive. I have also tested an outlet that was not working in my home using the AC voltage function. This unit is backlit and provides many other functions, such as measuring current, resistance, and more. If you want something that is more complex that an electrician needs, I would get something with more features and is more expensive. However, for basic troubleshooting for in house use, or making sure your devices are providing the correct voltage and working properly, this is a great unit. The price was also beyond amazing. For the price, this is an amazing product. Highly recommend.

Don't let the low price scare you!
Don't let the low price fool you, this is a very good product and great value! Here is some of the reasons:1. Test leads alone are worth the price of the meter, they are good quality2. Uses AAA batteries instead of 9V3. Large very easy to read display with great contrast. Better than my expensive meter.4. NCV function works great5. Auto-rangingI didn't need another meter but I saw this for $7 during Prime day and now I am glad I bought it. It has become my main everyday meter saving my more expensive one. Also, don't be discouraged by the 2000 counts. It will simply switch automatically to a higher range with more than enough accuracy for everyday use. Yes, more expensive meters with 6000 or 8000 counts will display more digits and perhaps be more accurate but I can't imagine where I would need that kind of accuracy for everyday use.

A better deal than even the multimeters HF gave away for free
Hard or impossible to beat for $7 to $10. The battery tests put a small load on the battery to catch those occasional duds that read OK when they aren't loaded. Not many battery testers do this (I don't understand why). The display is large and easy to read and has a backlight. The readings are accurate enough for household use (probably even pro use). And the continuity function is great - as long as you use better probes than what this comes with. The downsides (which are minor especially considering the price):- the backlight only stays on for 30 seconds (which is better than Amazon description that says 15 seconds and the same as many pro meters)- there's no capacitance function (doesn't matter for household use)- the probes work but they aren't great - especially for the continuity function. Better probes will cost more than the $10 you got this meter for, but they aren't strictly necessary- while it seems to have better electrical protection than most meters in this price class (2 PTCs and OK looking fuses), I still wouldn't use it on mains for more than detecting if an outlet or wire was hot - you can do that completely safely with one probe on the NCV function. The actual "non-contact" use of the NCV function works better than most meters I've used that have it. But I still would only use it with the one probe instead of non-contact because I just don't trust that there won't be a false "no voltage" reading with non-contact: on *any* meter with NCV.
