There are many Chinese copies of this Doubletake Adventure mirror and, as a Vine reviewer, I got one of them for free. This original from Doubletake is better in every way: easier to install, better materials, better design, the RAM style arms never slip, and there is no mirror vibration. The Chinese clone is cheap ($30 if you actually have to pay for it) and not terrible. It was also not confidence inspiring. The mirrors vibrated at highway speeds. The mounting hardware was okay but not great. And the RAM-style arms needed to be retightened on a regular basis to prevent the mirrors from moving. If you can afford an adventure bike, you probably can also afford these excellent mirrors from Doubletake.

I’ve installed the 6” version to my R1250GS Adventure, and ‘am happy with the results. I’ve set the mirrors near eye-level and do feel like I have a good view of what’s behind me, without much effort. The original BMW mirrors only have one ball at 45 degree angle, whereas this ones have two balls, so the range of adjustability is significantly better. The tightening knob is solidly made, and will lock up the desired adjusted position without vibrating out of adjustment. I should be able to use these mirrors off-road while standing in foot pegs because of the two-ball adjustability. The mirrors look good on the bike, and feel a lot more capable than the original ones. The quality is high and the materials seem heavy-duty. I would recommend.

These were a great upgrade to my Gen-3 Kawasaki KLR 650. The KLR is a single-cylinder "thumper" and as such can induce significant vibration to the mirrors via the handlebars. While the rubber mounting of the handlebars calms much of this the stock mirrors still become buzzy at speed and are difficult to use effectively. I don't know how the Doubletake mirrors do it, but have found that they further calm the buzziness and their large mirror surfaces allow me to see clearly what's happening behind me while rolling down the freeway. Further, these are easy to adjust and have been rock-solid performers off-road. They can even be folded down to the handlebar should you be riding through brush and trees where you want to avoid contact with branches. These are great mirrors and are definitely worth the investment.

One of the best upgrades I’ve done to my bike. Easy installation, (don’t listen to the lesser reviews regarding not having the correct size Allen wrench.if you have the motorcycle, then you should have the tools!). They are built solid and completely worth the price. I got the 6” and am amazed at how functional they are, but also how they increase overall safety by significantly improving rear visibility. They are completely adjustable and extremely durable. I don’t write many reviews but these mirrors definitely deserved a good one.

Excellent product that lives up to the hype! Easy install. The friction adjustments are simple to adjust and put into place, but require both hands for the major adjustments. However, even when fully tightened down, it is possible to make minor tweaks while riding. It is such a quick process, thst if you arrive at a traffic light right as it turns red, you can make major adjustments, with plenty of time to spare, before the light turns green. I have a tight parking location for my bike in my garage, which requires me to fold one of my mirrors in every time I park my bike, and put it back in position every time I went riding. With my stock mirrors, this process was infuriating! With the Double Takes, it's so quick to both release them and put them back into place, I don't even think about it anymore. Don't wait, like I did. Once you have them, you'll wonder why manufacturers aren't installing them as stock.

Theyre great mirrors but on my SV650 (2nd Generation), the left side hex bolt is too long at first, so that the seating ball doesnt stay still. Im able to fix it with some PVC+Electrical tape wrapped between the base and the washer of the mount and then filing the bolt a little shorter. Just an issue with the SV, other than that, these mirrors hold up great. I like being able to adjust them very precisely, theres plenty of room to see around you and behind you in the actual mirror. Vibration doesnt affect the mirror image much at all. Very durable and foldable, super functional. Good job Adventure Mirrors! Wish it was priced a little lower

Love these easy to install easy to adjust alot better than the factory because you don't have to fight with the adjustment bolts. Easy to adjust with a turn of a knob great view as you ride.

I've owned different types of motorcycles and tried aftermarket mirrors for over 45 years. These are by far the best mirrors I've ever used. Wide field of vision, infinite adjustability, extremely stable on/off-road (I have them on a BMW R1250 GSA adventure bike) and good looking too!

I originally ordered a Chinese ‘copy’ of these Doubletake mirrors and while they were ok they came loose easily so after every ride I had to keep tightening them, not ideal So I ordered these original Doubletakes as all the reviews were so good I have to say I’m mightily impressed with them. The build quality is absolutely superb and they are heavily built and feel like they will last forever Everything you need to fit them is included and I had mine fitted in a few minutes and they adjust into every conceivable position you can imagine so you get the perfect set up Unlike the Chinese ones you don’t need to keep tightening them for them to stay put. Actually you don’t need to tighten them very much at all, just nip them up, as the arm grips the two balls perfectly with absolutely no movement even at 80mph There’s also no vibration from the mirrors at any speed The mirrors are slightly convex so they have a wide field of view behind you but not to the extent that they are distorted or giving you a false view of how far away vehicles are, it’s just enough to make life easier, the view seems perfect to me These mirrors are eye-wateringly expensive however they are worth every penny to me for the peace of mind they provide If you can afford them I believe they are the very best mirrors available and yes all the positive reviews are spot on

I was on YouTube and saw a video about this product and instantly ordered it. Bought them for my Ktm 890 adventure r and took 5 minutes to install. They come with extra bolts to accommodate various different bikes. They did not cheap out. Very good quality , fast installation and took 3 days to arrive from Florida to western Canada. I’m very satisfied with my decision.

These are the real deal! Super easy to fit and already enjoying the added visibility and flexibility out on my bike. So impressed with ordered another pair for our other bike. A great company to support.
