Brilliant for keeping the soot off my arms when cleaning out my fire stove.

They are lightweight but do what they are meant to do. The material is waterproof and oilproof, so splashes from washing up, food prep, or cleaning surfaces do not soak through. I noticed the difference straight away, especially when dealing with greasy pans or wiping down wet areas. The fit is comfortable. The elastic at both ends holds them in place without feeling tight or cutting into your skin. They stayed put while I was moving around and did not slide down or twist, which I was worried about at first. They also cover enough of the arm to actually be useful, rather than stopping halfway. I like that they are reusable. After use, I just rinse them off, wipe them dry, and they are ready to go again. They dry quickly and do not hold onto smells, which makes them easy to keep around in the kitchen or cleaning cupboard. They are not breathable, which is expected given the waterproof material. If you wear them for a long time, your arms can feel a bit warm. For short jobs though, it was not an issue for me. These arm sleeves are ideal if you want simple protection while cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, or doing messy tasks. They are practical, easy to clean, and do exactly what they promise.
