I even had to read the manual (which I almost never do), but the setup went smoothly, and everything works exactly how it should. The water circulation looks great - every cell gets an even flow without overflowing or running dry, which tells me the pump and distribution design are well thought out. Some reviewers mentioned they never got seed growth - I’m pretty sure that depends on the seeds, lighting, or nutrients, not the system itself. The build quality feels solid, and everything looks right. The included Alexa-compatible smart plug made things even easier. I just set a watering schedule through Alexa (or you can use the app), and it runs automatically. Overall, it’s a fun, low-maintenance project that actually teaches something useful. You can see on the pictures what we’ve got so far -hoping we’ll have better luck than some others. Most importantly, it turned into a great bonding activity with my daughter. 5 stars from both of us. PS. I just uploaded a video showing the results two weeks after seeding. As I mentioned in my review, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the system, and the negative reviews about seeds not growing are likely due to other factors, not the unit itself. We’re really happy with this setup - it’s basically maintenance-free and super convenient. Totally worth it.

I've killed more herbs than I want to admit, so I wasn't super hopeful when I set this tower up on my small balcony. But honestly the assembly was as easy as they say. No tools, snapped the tiers together, filled the reservoir, dropped in a nutrient pack and set the timer. Had my first round of lettuce and basil sponges going in maybe half an hour. The first watering cycle kicked on and I actually leaned in to hear the pump because I thought something was wrong. It's that quiet. Water just trickles down through all the layers and you can watch it. My kids thought it was the coolest thing. A few weeks in and I'm genuinely surprised. The lettuce took off, the basil is thick, and I've barely done anything besides refilling the tank every few days and topping up nutrients. Taking up less than a square foot on the balcony is the real win for me since space is tight. One small thing, the timer instructions in the manual are a little vague and it took me some trial and error to figure out good run and pause intervals. Once I sorted that out it's been smooth. Really happy with how much it grows in such a tiny footprint.

I have a lettuce grow machine and this one. I have put the same plant seedlings and the solution in both. Both towers are in the same environment. However, After multiple tries, every time the plants in this one die. The other one survives and thrives. The only thing I can attribute to is the design.

I have been trying so hard to make this work. My first attempt was to have it outside on my southern-facing deck. I am only interested in growing herbs and planted a variety of rosemary, thyme, parsley, cilantro, lavender, basil and dill. After a few/three weeks with nothing happening I looked closer and noticed most of the seeds were gone. I brought the tower inside and re-planted all the seeds. Now, even though I only turn it on once a week for 15 minutes, the pods are growing white mold and the seeds are rotting. I have it by a sunny window and the average temp in my house is between 65-70 degrees F. I'm scraping off the mold and crossing my fingers.
