Not so universal battery tester
The RONGON battery universal battery tester is able to test AA, AAA, C, D, button batteries and 9V batteries. There were no instructions provided with the package. In order to test a 9V battery, use the contact terminals that are located in the bottom of the tester; there is no diagram in the tester for the 9V battery (except for a + & - signs towards the bottom of the tester) like in the other battery sizes. The tester worked well and provided accurate battery charge levels for the ones that I tested. The current price of $8.45 for the universal battery tester is higher than other similar testers on Amazon.

Simple 1.5/9V cell tester
I used this on alkaline and nimh AA/AAA cells, as well as 9V batteries.There's a little animation of the LCD bars filling up. It can take almost a couple seconds for full batteries.Unit is compact, about 6.5 x 9.2 x 1.4 cm.There is not much that can go wrong inside (no battery, no electrolytic capacitors). Should be good for a while.
