This is a really nice beach umbrella. The screw on the bottom helps drive it deep down into the sand, but the flutes on the screw don't seem like they'll help keep it secured, the screw is designed to help drive the main shaft down. It has overlapping openings near the center top to allow wind to exit the umbrella without it blowing away.The umbrella measures 7ft across, and nicely covers our area at the beach. This is a great umbrella, and we're already preferring this one to the other two that we own.

My hubs took this umbrella for a couple beach trips in the past few weeks and was quite impressed. We live 20 miles from the Northern Oregon coast and the sun just ain't ready to come out and play quite yet... He rented a house and it had a sandy yard and he just planted that thing in and sat under it on a cloudy day. We can't really comment on how it blocked the sun rays but on the Oregon coast, a lot is if it will stay standing up after wind gusts. Well, this guy did! He had drinks in the drink holder so it added some weight but even with the gusts, it was still upright. Did not blow inside out, just was a fantastic item on a blustery day x2, lol. I still have a beach umbrella from the 80's with the neon and tribal print. Works fine but, it's nice to have an updated and modern one with all the bells and whistles!5 stars from me!

It's a given the umbrella is going to be top-heavy given its size, but when I took it to the beach and stuck the pole into the ground as best I could, it still struggled to stay upright in average conditions. When I tried to use the button to tilt the umbrella's angle, the whole thing fell over.Maybe I didn't get it in the ground far enough. Still a good umbrella with the cupholders as an excellent bonus piece. I'll have to try it out some more.

This is a standard beach umbrella, and works great for that, it has a nice big “screw” bottom that lets you get it quite firmly into the sand and it stood well against even a pretty windy day. It also has a little “table” with cup holders—great for holding your water bottle, your sunscreen, etc above the sand. And, near the top it has hooks for towels! If you have large beach towels like we do it really only works for one or two towels, there is just not enough space for more, but that’s fine, one more place to hang something to dry is very helpful. And, I found it very helpful that the bag it goes in is a good size—when I took everything apart (including the table, etc) I worried it would all fit but it did fit well without the bag being overly large. Really well thought-out product.

I like this umbrella, but I have great difficulty getting the umbrella to open all the way to where it locks open. I've read the instructions and watched the video online and I think I'm doing it correctly. It feels like something's holding it back but I can't see anything. Finally I got a young teenage boy to help me and he was able to do it right away. But he has muscles. I tried it again and I still couldn't. So I'm torn about this umbrella because if I take it to the beach and I can't get it to stay open it's useless. But if someone else can open it then it's great. Maybe it will loosen up over time. It really is a nice umbrella with great features.I love that the umbrella comes in three pieces so that when you pack it up in its carry bag it's really compact and easy to carry. And it's pretty lightweight too. I've had other beach umbrellas which were so long and heavy and such a pain to carry over my shoulder. Or to pack in the car or carry on my mobility scooter. So the compact carry size of this umbrella is wonderful!The carry bag has a nice carry strap and it's ample enough for all three parts. It was easy to get everything back into the bag. That's a big plus when you're out on the beach trying to pack up quickly.I also love that the bottom pole has a spiral tip to get it into the sand and hold it there securely. In the past I've used a separate spiral attachment that goes into the sand first that you then put the umbrella into. And the umbrella got so stuck in it that I couldn't get it apart and back into the bag. So I like that this is all self-contained with the umbrella. There's no handles to hold on the bottom pole to help rotate it down into the sand. You just have to keep twisting the pole. But at least you just have this short pole to twist. And once that's securely set in the sand, then you add the middle pole and the top pole with the umbrella and lock them into place.I also love that it has a little fabric table attached to the bottom pole with two cup holders. Genius! And you just fold down each corner of the table until they lock into place. Very easy to do and very easy to put back up when done. And it's all compactly attached to the bottom pole so you don't need to carry anything extra to have a little table. When you fold it up you just pull the strap around and attach it with the velcro tip. The same as you do for the umbrella at the top.I also like that it has an extra little attachment with hooks to put on the top pole so that you can hang a towel there or whatever.And I like the fact that the umbrella has a tilt feature. Because we all know when you sit at the beach for a while you end up moving your chair every half hour to be in the moving shade. But if you have a tilt umbrella that can help adjust the shade so you don't have to move your chair as often.The fabric is thin but it seems to be sturdy and well made and they say it offers UV protection. And I like the fact that the umbrella is vented on top so it hopefully won't blow away when the winds pick up. We used to always pay to rent an umbrella at the beach because they were less likely to blow away.So all in all I think this is a great product if you can get the umbrella to lock open. But I wish it were easier to do.

It provides remarkable versatility and can be conveniently transported to various locations. The weather conditions were quite windy on the setup day, yet it demonstrated exceptional stability. The value it offers is well worth the performance it delivers.

This is one of the better beach umbrella’s. Its waterproof, provides shade from the sun, has not lost its vibrant colors, and tilts very easily in the direction of the sun. I would agree that this is a heavy duty umbrella and isn’t too heavy to transport in a carrying bag. I like the little shelf to hold my drinks and lotions. The pole screws into the ground and goes in deep so the umbrella doesn’t move. The umbrella itself is about 7’ wide which causes us to keep chairs close to the pole. It’s hard to have more than two chairs under the umbrella. The cost of this umbrella is very reasonable and the quality is very good.

Meine persönliche Einschätzung liegt im MIttelfeld:Pros:- Stoff ist wertig, hält bisher gut durch- hielt auch schon stärkeren Windböen stand, ohne umzuklappen- optisch gut anzusehen, gibt gleich etwas Urlaubsfeeling- stabiler Aufbau- hochwertige Knickmechanik- separate SchirmhülleCons:- etwas hoher Preis- Schirm klappt gelegentlich ein, sofern man nicht die Metallstange als Sicherungsriegel einsetzt; letztere also unbedingt verwenden- damit der Schirm nicht davon fliegt, kann man die Schraubmechanik fest drehen; je fester desto besser hält es, aber es zeigen sich dadurch auch schon Kratzer und Farbabplatzer auf der Schirmstange- geht aufgrund der Form etwas schwerer aufzuspannen als üblich- unter direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ist der weiße Stoff nur bedingt helligkeitsabschirmend, man ist zwar vor der Sonne geschützt, braucht aber ggf. noch eine Sonnenbrille, um ein Buch zu lesen, ohne die Augen zukneifen zu müssen

Stabilität Ich weiß nicht, was ich sagen soll, denn mit dem Wind kann man keine genaue Statistik machen, alles hängt davon ab, wie man sie benutzt und wie sie am Strand montiert wird. Ich kann nur bestätigen, dass einige Leute aufgehört haben zu fragen, wo ich es gekauft habe, weil es von der Farbe und der stabilen Struktur sehr angezogen wurde.
