Color Dance

Love this author, love her illustrator, love these books! Fun, incredibly creative. Have purchased many, many copie for baby showers & gifts. Even have a set for myself! Grandparents that encourage reading will absolutely love this Author and her books! A+++

Great book to extend learning activities

I use this book in teaching art. How different colors are made. I use it with mouse paint. I have the students paint or dance with their feet to mix two colors together to see what happens. They love this activity

This book helps kids learn their secondary colors in a unique way. It's a little high priced, I think, and it's not my nephew's favorite book, but it does teach colors pretty well.

Love this story, originally found it at the library! This book was used but came in excellent condition! My daughter was thrilled!

Kids carry color veils in primary colors. As they start dancing, their veils overlap, creating other colors. Slowly, two dancers are joined by another and another, creating more and more colors. The book ends with a color wheel, explaining all colors (like cyan) and how they relate to primary colors. Brilliant!

This is such s fun way to interact with children. I purchased yards of fabric to do the color dance with my two year old granddaughter!!! I don't know who had more fun: her or me!!!

Why does anyone buy this book? I spent $15 dollars on a book that repeatedly calls “red” a color that is actually a shade of pink. It’s very confusing for my young children. The book could be great if it weren’t for that. Unfortunately the book is built around introducing primary colors and when one of those is incorrect, the book is a net loss. Very disappointing.

I loved this book as a child in the 90's. I ordered it for my daughter, because it was a favorite of mine. I remember the format being different though. It used to have different coloured transparent sheets as the fabrics they are dancing with. As a child I would love flipping back and forth the different colours to see how they mix together. I still love the book, but am very disappointed in the change of format.

Kids loved it, showed up on time and worked perfectly for what I needed.

題名の通り、色が踊って混ざって、他の色を作ります。３原色でたくさんの色を作り出せることに気づくでしょう。色の名前は大人でも勉強になります。この本に出てくるように色を混ぜてみせると子供達は大喜び。ただ単に　赤＝red ではないところがこの本の魅力です。

混色の仕組みをわかりやすく教えてくれる、とても美しい絵本です。ラストには少しだけ色相環についても触れています。（色の絵本は多々ありますが、色相環まで教えてくれる絵本はそう多くはないと思います。）chartreuse や marigold など、色名のセレクトも素敵です！なお、『いろのダンス』（中川千尋訳・福武書店刊）というタイトルで翻訳版も出ているようですが、現在何処も品切れのようです。
