1 positive for 3-5 negatives. A lot of wrong information...
So initial opinions. I bought 2 for my kids so this will reflect what I noticed either from 1 or both. If on 1, the paragraph will start with a 1, and 2 if both. 2)Boot-up seemed to be around 20 seconds, set up took a moment, nothing out of the normal for a new computer. 2)The Ram is DDR4 speeds of 3200, not DDR5. (Got the 16G model) 2)Storage shows 454G, but you have around 370G that's usable, I'll need to do more digging what I can remove, but Norton 360 was the first to go. 2)GPU is actually a 3050, which was a nice surprise oppose to the 2050 I thought I would be getting. 1) The track pads seem to have different kinds of sensitivity. 1 registers clicks what I feel are correct, while the other, brushing your finger across the track pad will register clicks along the way. 2) Downloads. The system says it's a NVMe, but feels like Sata write speeds, When I have it download uncapped, it seems to struggle once we start passing between the 170 to 200Mbps, but is fine once I throttle it to 150Mbps. Not sure if it's a limitation of the storage drive or something with the system itself. 1) The Updates. Whether wired or wireless. 1 took updates fine, though still felt long (about 4 hours), the other refuses to download 2 security updates for this year. 2) The game. I only tried this on 1 game as its all my son cared it played. Fallout 4. Game auto sets to ultra settings on 1080p. So promising. I gave it an hour run. Worked fine for the most part, though you hear the fan going the whole time, which is suggest getting a cooling pad or get its feet raised a little higher for better air flow. I don't know if it's the game or cause it's actually doing 144fps. Which to my next point. 2) I already thought to see if it the monitor had a 60h rate, it doesn't, only 144 and 48, so I didn't see a point to run it at 48 unless he wants it there. I know it could affect performance if it was doing it that high so that's what I tested, otherwise lowered till it looks good. There feels to be a bit of deception here and not telling you what you DO and DON'T get. I liked the better card, but the low write speeds, the DDR4 instead of DDR5, what I think is a lot of lost space to whatever they already have installed as I don't believe around 90G is needed for the OS. Should have more variable refresh rates. It'll be fine for my kids so I'll deal with the headache of a setup, but anyone else buying for themselves, this is what I experienced between 2 laptops, both the same, both from this seller.
